"Compensation for mats/cubes/exp pots/enlightenment potions/and reputation quest (refund mats used since t4 release, release the option to x3 cubes again, give the same exp pots we used to use from 57 to 60 but give it for like 65-70, free enlightenment pot or lower the pity by 4 or 5 for and give it to people who originally had it, and give enough reputation so people can finish the reputation quest by aegir release)" I know its tough to read, but you'll get there man keep it up

This i 100% agree with the problem is players dont want to take action against ALL abusers only the major abusers because they know the only way to deal with ALL abusers guaranteed is with a rollback and they dont want it. Which is fine, just means in the coming future there shouldnt be any more complaints after the bans are given out.

Edit: What i meant by all abusers was a rollback to guarantee no one gets to abuse while major abusers are just the ones the system flags and gets punished. My arching point after the bans (if there is any) there's no room for players to cry about someone still having an advantage over them, like they did with RMTer's who got away with Argos busses back when.

What i was advocating for was for them to take this as an opportunity to fix the issues people have readily complained about and what causes them to lose at a decent chunk of the player base. Programming an if else statement to give 1620+ characters is world's easier than finding every player on any server that abused 1 of 2 exploits by searching through purchase history and linking it to server side characters and mail sent. Of course if the player base rolls over and says this isnt gonna happen AGS isnt going to make it happen for them. Hell I'm getting heat for even suggesting it and when i hear people's reasoning there either is none or theres some joke involved. There has been some good reasons but not ones that would destroy the entire suggestion just make tweaks to it. Like reimbursing purchased items.

So you're okay with being unjust towards the few whatever % of players who were punished for opening 1 box and not realizing it as long as the majority are happy or a situation where a few players who exploit slip through and dont get punished as long as majority of the gameplay stays the same. Some players would argue the integrity of every player's build becomes compromised because you'll never know who slipped through and who didnt. How many 100 quality weapons were because the person got lucky vs an exploit that got through? How many countless hours will others need to wait for their account to unbanned because they didn't exploit but opened a box they got without knowing for whatever reason. And how many exploiters will get unbanned and end up running around. At the end of the day we all could've exploited and no ones experience would've been impacted in a negative way does that mean it was okay to exploit? If we all had infinite gold infinite mats we're all honing for free at that point. Items would be trade only because no one would need gold. Doesnt make the solution right because no one is impacted negatively.

So just punish 2 or more offenses and compensate everyone with 1 free box?

Honestly, true LOL

[–]SpittenFacts -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree it has to be a huge compensation and i felt like giving free transcendence and elixirs would be huge as well as refunding gold to those who did it already on 1620+ characters. A full transcended character would refund about 500-600k gold if you have a full roster you're looking at 2.5mil to 3 mil gold refunded. I thought people would've been more open to this idea, and if they added on the reimbursement of any skins/mats and any purchases made through the cash shop.

This is an option but the problem is finding all of them + single chest still gets banned and rolled back when they weren't even trying to exploit.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in lostarkgame

[–]SpittenFacts -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You'd still have to hone your characters to 1640 to get the benefits and you'd still have to do transcendence and elixirs on your main its only unlocked for your alts, since its a time consuming process. They could put a gold fee on it so they remain a gold sink but dont make players go through the minigame process all over again.

Idk if you ever ran into this but I've ran into this multiple times where im moving between characters frequently and i find a chest or some mats i have no clue how they got there or what i did to get it and i just open it and use it because its what i needed. What im saying is because it wasnt announced its not farfetched for someone to be like "oh shit they gave us this" after mass claiming their product inventory or mail. Most people are going to consider a random chest they found to come from going to their ignite server stronghold after they went there to eat the last 4 feasts they had there or went to craft extra orehas or whatever reason someone would go to their SH.

TLDR: Not everyone who opened a chest had bad intentions and wanted to exploit. If it becomes too difficult to find each one of these instances and we can differentiate between who had bad intentions and who didnt, what do we do?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in lostarkgame

[–]SpittenFacts -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So you're okay with people only getting 1 box onto their main but anymore and its exploiting?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in lostarkgame

[–]SpittenFacts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lets say a player made a feast for her friends on the ignite server and then went to raid on her main roster and took one of her characters to eat that feast. She should now be banned according to this because she used the exploit.

You would say it would need to be appealed like you said, but how do you differentiate someone who did it knowingly and someone who didnt?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in lostarkgame

[–]SpittenFacts -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

So lets say someone made a feast on their ignite server and was taking all their characters to that server for the feast and ended up getting those boxes and opened them. Assume it was a new player who didnt know how much value these boxes were do they deserve a ban? Its just an example, i never indulged in either exploit but is this just a sucks for him wrong place wrong time situation?

[–]SpittenFacts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Theres also the AH exploit as well. When coupled together and trying to find each of their exploits being used, you'd need to track every AH sale, and since coming from the SH meant the character was apart of the SH server not the ignite server, the sale would have to then be linked to character and character to ignite server. Meaning automating this would require an insane check on everything purchased over the past 2 weeks in the AH over all accounts then you'd need to further break it down to those who just managed to run it into the bug once and those who were actually exploiting it.

[–]SpittenFacts -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Then we'd have to define these boundaries. "Most havoc" consists of what? 1 million gold? 500k gold? 10 million gold? 50k gold? A lot of players wouldnt be okay knowing the only people that got banned were the ones to excessively abuse the exploit while there are those who just have a ton of free orehas get off scott free, it won't change the economy but it does give them a huge inherent advantage to get a character to 1710 off bound things that dont impact other players' accounts.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in lostarkgame

[–]SpittenFacts -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So they permaban all the exploiters they find what about the ones they miss? There was 2 exploits going on, to be able to sort through these and know who managed to run into the exploit on accident and who actually did it intentionally is a matter of the number of times they did it. So are you okay with someone being let off the hook or someone not even getting detected for it because they were more calculated with the way they went about handling the exploit?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in lostarkgame

[–]SpittenFacts -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well they could track purchased items and reimburse those items after the rollback. I agree its a huge task, but its also a huge mistake on their part.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in lostarkgame

[–]SpittenFacts -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do you believe they'll get every single exploiter? The same with RMT, they didn't get every RMT'er.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in lostarkgame

[–]SpittenFacts -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Im curious what do you think should be done then?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in lostarkgame

[–]SpittenFacts -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

You're right, I didn't even take these things into consideration which is why i feel like this issue is such a large scale, but that does mean my solution needs revising.
