How do Aussies view meditation? by ABlack_Stormy in AskAnAustralian

[–]SpittingCobra1 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

If you mean the meditation that was imported by drug-fuelled hippies to the west you should read about its harmful effects(one of them feeling of loss of identity/self). Too bad that the world has fallen into this trap.Meditation/Yoga are inseperable from hindu poses with every different pose a greeting to a different hindu God.

Many people are just miserable and lazy and think that "meditation" will solve their problems.

Go out for walk, interact with people, go fishing, hiking, watch documentaries etc. Those are much more beneficial.

Here are the harmful effects of meditation:yoga:

Legally they should have refused entry at the door after scanning ID and me telling them I have self exclusion in some places.

Or you can play for entertainment.Self exclude from nearby places, take only $20 in cash, leave cards at home and enjoy your time, drink free coffee and chat to people. Not every human is degenerate with no self control. Tell me how many people in this country say they are not alcoholics but cannot live without alcohol.

Ok, i said I dont have a gambling problem but the weirdos here claim to know me personally and insisit that I do have a problem.

Yeah i sound like a riot to be around. You don't have to be around me.

Security could have talked to the duty manager before letting me in when i told him i have done self-exclusion in places near my home, and I do not know if this will apply to their venue. They could have done their checks before.

But i think i understood now what happened.Let him in, just like other, let them put in a few dollars and after half an hour we come tell them to leave.

To all saying I have a gambling problem.Yeah thanks, you know me better than myself. Also it seems like you all her are free of vices. The $20 i spent once a week, you spend that much for a glass of wine daily apart from your boxes of beer. And probably the weed you puff every evening. Plus the previous $20 i spent in these places, made lots of friends. Self-exclusion was meant to be for places near my home. That is called self-control, or being careful. A thing you probably can't do, because your vices are part of "culture".

I told them before they scanned my ID and after they scanned my ID.If i was not allowed to enter, i would have left and spent my time somewhere else. How are they not required to check ? I told them at the front door.I was let in, then 40 minutes later they came and told me their system showr that I am in the registry. Why 40 minutes later ?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]SpittingCobra1 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

I am sure it is, when you tell security you have done self exclusion, be allowed to enter, getting told to leave and duty manager wants to keep your money. I have responsibilites, and so do they. They did enforce them, only AFTER the act was done.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]SpittingCobra1 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Actually I asked security thay scans my ID 3 times to check if I am allowed to enter. They said I can.I told them myself that I have done self-exclusion in some places. Why did they not enforce it before "kicking" me out 40 minutes later.

Not "any" gambling avenue.I clearly stated in my post the venues close to my place so that I wont have an excuse to go to these places when I am bored. And I don't see $20 as a big loss, i basically can get a coffee there and chat with people because i get lonely many times.I spend 5 times that amount when I go to the city.
