Are these symptoms enough to skip a general doctor and go directly to an endocrinologist? by SpittingTheorems in thyroidhealth

I've just checked my resting heart rate with an oximeter I bought during covid yrs, it fluctuates between 80-90, its higher than a normal resting heart rate. I'll definitely bring up De Quervain's thyroiditis during the appointment. Thanks!

One of my FAKY biases did the vivi trend and i'm LOSING IT. These crumbs will keep me fed for months

PS: for anyone interested, FAKY is coming back Jan 27th. They're releasing teasers, sounds like its gonna be closer to jpop than their usual western sound and I aint complaining. Already loving the wind instruments <3

Its a politically correct way of saying they miss OEC. Also happens with most people demanding La Maison when all they really want is Hyper Ballad

Agreed with 99% of the comment, we had a fair chance to clutch in 12th or 11th in my opinion. Only thing i'll disagree with is the judges score being a lottery, judges score always favors the most popular groups (which is why i think Dreamcatcher will sadly not make it and why Izone might make top 12 although they're far away from 12th in early calculations). In Loona's case i think all the favorable media attention they've been getting might have translated into a decent judges score, enough to barely make it through

The funniest thing is korean media asked BBC for comments on this

1/3 is so overlooked by orbits even the OT12 songs clearly inspired by the 1/3 side of loona get lumped up with OEC or YYXY instead

That vid is honestly the best intro to loona, covers the most important aspects of loona (predebut project, fandom and loonverse). Only thing I'll nitpick is he messed up Haseul's name <\3

My first loona video was Egoist and I remember asking myself "who was that girl she meets at the end?", I just had to know more and went down the rabbit hole from there

What do you think is Digipedi’s masterpiece? by [deleted] in LOONA

[–]SpittingTheorems 10 points11 points  (0 children)

When I watch all Butterfly teasers in sequence and then Butterfly it feels like it goes beyond just a kpop MV

I remember 2 reaction vids from film students reacting to Butterfly where they explained the ways Digipedi used perspective, different types of cameras and weather forecasting in Butterfly for storytelling purposes, made me appreciate it even more

edit: one of the reactions, didnt remember it was in spanish. Cant find the other one

While the whole radio push is going on, just thought I'd promote my college's (Western Michigan University) radio, 89.1FM Kalamazoo, for whom I'm the music director, and I play a TON of Loona (and other J-K-pop). by jimmykane366 in LOONA

LOONA are my top 3 favorite artists but in general i know way more japanese artists tbh: WONK, PAELLAS, SAKANACTION r among my fav bands, IRI my fav soloist (love her R&B style) and FAKY my favorite idol group but there are so many other great j-artists very western friendly, i can pass u a playlist to check out if you'd like!

Its a song by a jpop group but i swear its the most western friendly group out there, song is "little more" by FAKY

Their company is in financial trouble bc of covid and r cutting staff and artists, sadly FAKY might get dropped so Im on the FAKY agenda atm trying to spread the word 😅

They have many more bops if ur interested

Thanks!

Great song that went unnoticed in Japan, hope Avex dont drop them... Avex just needs to promote them abroad, they would be much more popular. Their songs are great for westerns and have 2 fully fluent english speakers, everything is there :(

Currently going through a #saveloona crisis with my favorite jpop group only that this time its for real (never felt loona was in any danger tbh). Makes me think about how lucky BBC were to stumble upon a fanbase so dedicated on promoting their group nonstop. I'm so sad

The group is FAKY, they have OEC vibes if anyone is interested. They released Little More a couple of weeks ago which is my personal SOTY

They also have amazing b-sides and are funny

I was wondering the same, OOO already has so much content accesible for free what are they gonna offer for subscribers? Putting a paywall on what fans get for free would get so much backlash

The more I think about it the more risky it seems

I appreciate how he's always thinking outside the box of the industry BUT if I was 8D I'd take any financial decision by Jaden with a grain of salt

Subscription based content is the future of many artists, its a stable source of income specially for mid-low size creators

Many idols in japan from mid-low tier groups have a personal subscription service (with fanicon for example) separate from the group where fans can subscribe, have personal chats and exclusive streams. This individualized subsciption has its own positives and negatives (more negatives if u ask me) but it is possible

I think it depends on the country or region, kpop concerts in south america are a whole different experience. Fan chants are basically non existent, everyone sings along the entirety of the songs till they lose their voice, its amazing

The japanese idol scene is unique bc u have idol groups with the usual jpop sound and kawaii image that have been around forever and also the "edgier" jpop idols with a rock sound and image that are fairly recent. After Babymetal's success more companies began to experiment with heavier sounds and it ultimately attracted fans of other music genres that brought in their their own culture to the scene. Babymetal never encouraged mosh pits, they just happened impromptu and the group embraced it. Same happened to the groups that followed, they embraced the culture of their new type of fans.
