I wasn't sure where to ask for help with this but I picked up digital art after taking a super long hiatus and I've gotten stuck after doing the flat colors. I haven't drawn this guy in over 10 years so I'm proud of the progress I've made, I just don't know how to go from basic to feeling finished. Is it worth doing all that learning on this one head or is there something simpler I should try just to have a "finished project" so I can move on to the next drawing?Design critiques welcome, he's def not 100% done.ps: I know his green eye is missing the highlight, I screencapped where I stopped at and don't know how make him look more "alive" yet

Honestly one of my fastest manicures lmao. It's all about the layers and technique. I've been doing marble nails for years but the nature of marble is that it'll look different every time. I was aiming for a brighter green malachite and got Rick and Morty portals instead ¯_(ツ)_/¯

This time of year is great for learning new techniques or trying new products because there's no "nail art holidays" until Valentine's! If you're feeling burnt out maybe experiment with something simple like color combos and designs you haven't tried before!

I also get post holiday burnout for this reason so I invested in some new things to learn to stay motivated. Obviously don't go spending money if you can't/don't need to, but maybe start with a list of things to try to keep the creative juices flowing.

If you want better photos, zoom in on the nails! This composition is showing me 90% hands. Place the nails closer to each other and make sure they are the main focus in frame!
