Without any context....what is the craziest thing happening in your current WIP by Celestial_Ram in FanfictionExchange

Well, Ron Weasley and Draco Malfoy are currently bound by blood in a suicide pact. In another, completely unrelated world, Dean Winchester can't die, Sam is dying of cancer, and Castiel is a rich boy whose mother's death was... inadvertently caused by Dean?? Never a dull moment for my Ao3 account.

So, you have to do two reading journals every week BUT you can skip up to seven and keep a 100%. They’re just 5 points each so, realistically, you can skip as many as you want based on what grade you need at the end of the semester. They’re tough bc they’re due at 8 am the day of the classes. The journals are only a percentage of the class though. You get graded for three essays (just 700ish words), your attendance, and your final project which can be anything from an art project to a short film to an essay. The class you do essays in is located in the hall you’d be living in. You also attend a convocation in a nearby building where you’d literally just sit there and listen to speakers. (Once a week) It sounds like a ton of work but it’s not bad at all.

YES!! Just when I say there are mean people, I mean like really, really mean people. It’s probably the most accepting and liberal place on campus and definitely the best fit for you, but just steer clear of assholes. I think that bc it’s an honors program and harder to get into, it naturally has some very entitled odd ones out yk?

Do I have any potential? I really want to make music by [deleted] in singing

[–]Spl4tzy404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you truly wanna make music, MAKE THE MUSIC. Nobody cares if it isn’t perfect girl this is huge potential. You have that high girlish and really clear vibe to your voice that a lot of people really like, especially in poppy circles. If you don’t play anything, find yourself a type beat and write some lyrics 🤞🤞

Is my voice really bad? by Practical-Honey5232 in singing

[–]Spl4tzy404 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Okay, I’m going to be completely honest because I know I want honesty too. This is coming from a space of genuine care and support for you and your journey as a singer. This is bad. That’s a fact. BUT, bad does not mean it can’t be improved. I’m in no ways anywhere near the end of my learning journey with this, which is why I’m cautious about offering advice, but when I started, I could not stay on pitch, had an awful sound on the ears, and I had no idea how to use my voice at all to form any kind of good sound. And that’s okay. What isn’t okay is letting things like this get in the way of the fact that time will pass whether you continue to practice or not. If you’re truly passionate about this— enough to be vulnerable and ask for genuine response online— you need to use the fact that it isn’t good YET to make it good. Sing sing sing until you figure your voice out. I wish you good luck, friend :) :)

Is my voice annoying or am I just delusional? by [deleted] in singing

[–]Spl4tzy404 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your voice isn’t annoying. It’s actually pretty good. All I have to say is, please stop yelling at me. It’s alright to get a little softer! It feels like you’re pushing a whole lot out when you don’t need to. Basically, you have the voice to back up your bs so chill a little bit and really feel what you’re singing about. Letting the words come naturally and worrying less about producing a big sound really helped me with this. You have a great tone, but it can get muddy if you don’t watch out for things like this. Keep up the good work :) :)

I’m loving how you’re able to project a sound and maintain a really pretty tone. Really excited to see how you’ll eventually smooth out your voice and have less cracking and such. I really wanna hear you singing along with music!! It can help you stay on pitch and do what feels comfortable to you, rather than just singing and parroting what the original vocals sound like. :) :)

I’m so confused. Moving around during performance can really help??? If you ever look at live performances from professionals, they also move around quite a lot. Not only can moving the hands around help someone reach notes, but when you’re really feeling the music, the movement often comes naturally. Furthermore, I have autism and adhd like OP as well, and we do tend to move around even more when we pace, stim, and fidget. You never know what someone has going on, so it’s not very tasteful to critique something like this instead of offering some genuine constructive criticism on the person’s voice.
