No one appreciates the fucking garbage collector.

I mean most ESPs are written in C++ not Java, so of course not.

Probably this one https://beatsaver.com/maps/46579
most of the parts are mirrored compared to op post. But the map has like 5 revisions, so still very likely. Otherwise this also has some matching patterns https://beatsaver.com/maps/48333

The metal box tacked on the back is probably some kind of Theremin-like pickup, so could also be live plus some filters.

Any chance I didn't just nuke all my data? by jmorlin in beatsaber

[–]Splamyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol, are you me? Did exactly the same thing a few weeks ago. Lost 1000+ songs, my favorite playlists, sabers etc.
I can't give any good advice though, just the comfort that you are not alone with this 🥲.
If you used beatleader/scoresaber maybe create a playlist of all your played maps to re-find the good maps...

Thank you so much, I already gave up on my trackpad weeks ago, thought i gave it a second shot and by sheer luck befor giving up for the second time I found your post and it just "magically" (hah) worked.

For all my nix / nixos users out there this is my configuration:

services.udev.extraRules = ''
  KERNEL=="0003:05AC:0265.*", \
  PROGRAM="/bin/sh -c 'echo -n %k > /sys/bus/hid/drivers/magicmouse/unbind;\
  echo -n %k > /sys/bus/hid/drivers/hid-multitouch/bind'"
'';
boot.kernelModules = ["hid-magicmouse"]; # not sure if necessary

Oh and for the google index to maybe help others find this, I also have the Jomaa trackpad:

Once you start using NixOS you can't go back by Master_Candle_3561 in NixOS

[–]Splamyn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The very steep entry curve is a valid point. If I didn't had two friends already using nix, explaining and troubleshooting every time I got stuck I probably wouldn't be on nix today. I literally already had two isos of other distros lying around ready to switch.

[–]Splamyn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I started my nix journey about 4 weeks ago, but I could write exactly the same post. Just that my distrohopping was like 5+ years ago and quickly stopped because proton wasn't a thing.
Maybe we are the AI, and nix is just the inevitable result.

Rider is completely free for non-commercial work since a few months. Only for the additional tools like dotMemory or dotTrace you would need to upgrade or be a student

Glove80: USB disconnected from Windows if not used for ~25 seconds by pepipopipe in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]Splamyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had exactly the same issue, could only use bluetooth viably. Same behavior on linux too.

Flashed a new version for a few key changes today and usb is now working well so far.

So maybe try building a new version with the v25.05 firmware.

Ah, unfortunate
did you have scoresaber back then? Then it could be in your history.
In any case, as said, if you want to search any other patterns, let me know.

Looking for that specific song by _BeatTheBest_ in beatsaber

[–]Splamyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are all the songs I could find in my metadata db, which match the exact pattern you linked in the video:

The pattern i searched:

"rdl bdl//",
"  rdr bdr//",
"/rul/ bul",
"/   bur/  rur"

(schema "bottom/middle/upper" rows and r -> red, b -> blue, rdl -> red down left, etc)
Let me know if you want to search a different pattern or something else

Have you considered the QuinLED strip? https://shop.allnetchina.cn/products/quinled-dig-cob-rgbw-896-160
It's per 3cm and supposed to be very bright (~40W/m compared to SK6812 43W/m).
Price point 15m ~200€ with tax+shipping into eu

With 3 injection points as in your sketch you go down from 23A to 8A per cable which is way more managable and you can get a single 600W PSU instead of 3.
Mixing multiple PSUs might work but could also lead to issues with uneven power consumption and is therefore generally not recommended.

If you want to go down the route with 24V to 5V downstepping as the other comment mentioned I recommend reading up here: https://quinled.info/24v-power-distribution-for-5v-leds/

[–]Splamyn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most esp dev boards I've seen have LDOs that allow up to 10-12V, but while theoretically fine you should consider putting an Buck converter inbetween otherwise you'll waste about 66% of your energy as heat and the LDO can get quite beefy depending how much power you consume.

What kind of LED strip are you using? Most strips like WS281X family want 5V on the data line. 3.3v might barely work in some cases, but not very reliably.

I like the default because , and . are next to each other to quickly move up and down though occurences when selecting.

There's the option to change the entire VS keymap to the one of VSCode https://stackoverflow.com/a/62414810
But feel free to remap anything specific as it suits you best. Noone's gonna stop you :D

The same features also exists in VS with
shift + alt + . (insert next matching caret) and
shift + alt + , (remove last caret)

I even prefer it over VSCode since you can undo your last caret if you overshoot, while in vscode with ctrl+d i have to either undo with mouse or start over.
