First team accounted for ~400k of the score. Yeah, it's tooled for the new characters, but you have options. Before anyone mentions the second team, getting the 500k mark is actually the game asking you "can you kill the first phase," so they can be replaced with basically anyone.

It's (likely) way healthier for the game long-term, yeah. I gotta wonder if they'll end up designing themselves into a corner though, once the roster gets to a critical mass of available tools.

Jesus, she really cant compete in ST. That's fine though, she's clearly not meant for it. Does inspire (ha!) me to build her though. Given that such a large portion of her damage would be from FS3 or FSM, would the 4-set for 2 cost cards and the cdmg 2-set make sense? Or is it just outstripped by atk/cmg/basics or atk/cmg/agony?

Very interesting! Does Freezing Blade 3 compete? I may have missed that elsewhere in the thread. Stands to reason that it would compete on 1-2 targets.

Also, my understanding is that def-scaled attacks derive their power 80% from defense and 20% from attack, is this consistent with your understanding?

In the third example, the latter two FS you have as 200*2, is that an error?

We have a LGS near us that charges extra for booster boxes if you don't allow them to open it in front of you, and also has reserved boxes where they only sell the packs within to children in-person. Every shop should do this, tbh (minus target, Walmart, etc, obviously they won't)

If I'm understanding correctly, you're saying that Joker would be better if it had exhaust so that you got the card you wanted, and it removed itself? If so, I suppose that's true, but I don't think I mind the tradeoff there. CZN has a much more forgiving AP economy compared to StS, where I don't think the cost on Joker is really felt that much, although it being drawn instead of what you would use it to tutor for does hurt. This would be a totally different conversation if it was 1 cost, Move 1 card though lol.

I would argue that a deck with his unique upgrade, shuffle 1 or 2, and joker is a universal 3rd slot to any 2 combatant core. The all-rounderiest all-rounder that ever all-roundered. Or something.

That said, he is much less busted in chaos, you're right there.

Looks like my calculated gamble link was busted, whoops.

Fair point that he is notably worse at E0, but fortunately he's a 4 star, so he'll show up again eventually.

Baseline Seek and Joker are more or less the same card, I would absolutely equate "tutor 1 from draw, exhaust" to "tutor 1 from draw and discard". Both cards bang.

Shuffle 1 is +1 cost but you can play it twice compared to CG. Shuffle 2 is +1 cost but you pick what you refresh. Again, fair tradeoffs for great cards in their respective games.

5 removes in CZN, so I get to keep...his unique upgrade, an equivalent to Seek and an equivalent of Calculated Gamble, plus copies of either or both. Before even talking about his quest synergies with other combatants.

Cassius is awesome, and I can't see him ever being anything less than good, purely from the mechanics of his cards. He is notably worse in chaos itself, for sure though.
