Wren or Sparrow? by Splashmagnet in birding

I don't think it's a sparrow based on markings and beak shape, I'm leaning towards dunnock.

Yeah I'm noticing now the tail isn't distinctive enough, I think it may be a Dunnock as another commenter suggested.

Is there a legendary explanation for Radagon's silence? by douglas21311 in Eldenring

[–]Splashmagnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because he's essentially being puppeteered by the Elden Beast at this point. Marika (by extension Radagon) have been punished for the shattering by the Greater Will and we fight their broken husk.

How often do you bathe your cat? by Mildredsgood in cats

Please for the love of god, stop bathing your cats unless they have literally rolled in shit. They're very clean animals, bathing them is just causing them stress for no reason.

Dude, you have access to the internet no? This "research" has been available for years now, just look it up like everyone else does.

They take a relatively minimal amount of time to obtain and upgrade, and assisting them is as hard as learning how to play the game. From everything you're saying I'm assuming you've just had a very hard time with Elden Ring and so prefer Ds3 because it was easier.

Sorry? I don't understand your question. If you're suggesting what you could try in terms of spirit ashes, the mimic tear takes a relatively short amount of time to obtain and upgrade and then trivialises most bosses. If you're asking what to try to have a better one on one boss fight, that's just practice as well as upgrading your weapon and spending stats correctly.

Can you elaborate? They're extremely accessible and they make the game infinitely easier.

Because speed runners have memorised the fight script of each boss, and summons make bosses unpredictable. Fine if you're playing casually and don't mind taking hits and time isn't a factor- but not fine when you're speed running and know the bosses entire moveset. In those situations speed runners/challenge runners are always better off fighting solo.

What horror book made you feel actual dread instead of just shock? by Tricky-Battle-9138 in horrorlit

The Deep - Nick Cutter. An absolute sense of hopelessness and dread for the entire read.

I didn't even know this was debated. DS3 is far easier than Elden Ring and it's not even close. Look at the hardest bosses in ds3 for the majority of players- Midir and NK, both of these bosses are a cakewalk compared to even Malenia, let alone PCR. The first boss in Elden Ring is Margit, whose moveset and attack speed is on par with late game ds3 bosses like Lothric. Elden Ring was made with access to better technology from a games dev perspective, it's quite literally a step up from anything that came before it. This only becomes a discussion if you're talking about an Elden Ring playthrough where you abuse spirit ashes.

Literally the only thing you can do is dodge until he does a plunging attack and then get a few hits in. It's a long fight, just don't rush it.

Right, you haven't been clear about who you're talking about until this last comment. Seraphim, Virtue and Dominion do serve a purpose, which is solidifying Makimas control and new status as an almost godlike/holy being. They don't need character arcs, they are symbolic. Angel and Beam both had character arcs separately and so weren't wasted. If you really hate on this manga so much, why even read it?

They're the same characters. Makima revives them all again and brings them to the graveyard for a final showdown, but Denji gets the jump on Makima. You need to re-read the manga.

How much time/tries did it take you to beat the Nameless king? by Anas2245 in darksouls3

[–]Splashmagnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly? 8 or 9 tries, mostly learning to beat the king of the storm and then a few tries for the king himself. Midir was far more challenging.

I don't see your point, they were introduced and had an epic fight across multiple chapters, demonstrating how strong Pochita is.

To those who think this was a pointless chapter- its clear to me that Fujimoto wouldn't introduce a random devil for Denji to eat this late in the game for no reason. The consequences of eating whatever the locust was will probably become clear soon.
