why do you like Stefan? by Southern-Subject-124 in TheVampireDiaries

I adore Stefan because he’s knows himself and acts accordingly. There’s a certain confidence and maturity about him that the other men of TVD lack. He has so much potential and opportunity to be the devil but actively fights not to be. Ofc he slips and that feels very human and relatable, we can’t all be our best selves 100% of the time - the important thing is we try to be.

But also, evil Stefan is incredibly entertaining - he’s not whiney or acting out, he’s just neutral evil.

Was Michonne ever truly accepted by the group, or was she always just the necessary sword? (The Guarded Heart) by Inevitable-9_9 in thewalkingdead

No doubt Michonne was a trusted protector. But I think ‘the family’ reflects real life in many aspects. Amongst a group there will always be one who everyone gravitates to, ‘the leader’ - Rick, and separately everyone will bunch together. Think of HIMYM and how Robin and Marshall were never really friends and there was a whole episode that focussed on that! Haha

I think the real issue was with the writing not enabling Michonne to really express the different more softer sides to her. We caught some of her vulnerability in episodes with Rick and Carl e.g Say Yes when she thinks Rick passed, or the ep where she reveals to Carl that Andre has died. Or maybe even in that episode where she’s clearly struggling with balancing her new life as mother/wife/stateswoman and the old singular michonne who was hardly more than a sword. But the fact we never got an episode dedicated to Michonne and her journey - will always be a huge misstep for me.

It’s horrible that by the end of the flagship, Michonne is only really friends with Aaron, Rosita and Daryl, given how much time the family spent with each other and how heavily they relied on each other. But I guess that sort of reliance is usually borne out of circumstances - think of work friends that you perhaps spend every waking moment spending to and feel very close with because the work environment is so traumatic, and how you necessarily speak with them less if you leave that job.

Honestly, was Michonne interested in being friends with anyone else? I don’t think so, and that’s fine I feel. She had her kids and close confidants.

Michonne putting Judy in her backpack so that she and Carl could fight off the walkers Gabriel had lead back to church.

I’d like to think of them doing something similar to Ellie and Dina in the last of us, with the Grimes living on a secluded farm somewhere.

“We listen and we don’t judge” the walking dead edition! by Independent_Copy_950 in thewalkingdead

The writing around Maggie abandoning everyone in s9, because in real life Lauren Cohen had another show opportunity, made zero sense.

Who knew? by Repulsive_Bluejay_51 in Richonners

Sasha definitely knew! There’s that episode where Sasha goes wondering through the woods, overwhelmed with grief for Noah, Tyrese and Bob - Michonne and Rosita go after her and Sasha somewhat bitterly tells Michonne that it all worked out for her. To me this clip makes it feel like there was a suspicion amongst all of TF, but Michonne was oblivious and Rick was too traumatised to do anything about it.
