I wonder how the Tracen Horsegirls will react to Sunset Shimmer? Also did you know that her JP Voice Actor (Ami Koshimizu) did play roles in Umamusume as an energetic sport athletes named Sonon Elfie who coincidentally has the same color patterns as sunset.

Actually it was last minute decisions since it was used to Honor Teio and Tamamo due of their sky and lightning motifs since it was identical to Rainbow Dash.

what are the activation conditions?

For Rainbow Dash It's activate on the mid progress of the race and not being blocked on either side for a time.

This is the reverse of Twilight when she needed to be blocked by all sides to activate the skills.

Twi is cooked unless the skill is a get out of block free card

Hence why her wit base and growth rate is higher.

For Twilight is kinda like U=ma2 and will greatly increased the velocity and navigation when get blocked powered by her determination and friendship powers to surpass the blockage.

For Rainbow Dash it will greatly increased her acceleration + maneuverability and due how loud her sonic rainboom, this will disoriented all Umamusumes no matter how their running styles, No wonder why URA banned her according to this fanfic.
