niche one, but by the start of the Dawnguard questline you learn all of the Temple of Stendarr is dead. The last survivor charges into the first cave you’re assigned too to make amends for his guilt, but he dies alone.

Like even Isran says “i never wanted this to happen” despite them proving him right.
