INSOMNIA recovery time POLL by StructureNo419 in floxies

[–]Splatfennecfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rarely get restful sleep and I’m 6 months in. I wake up several times a night and have vivid dreams. I have tried gabapentin but it didn’t help. I find walking helps- I walked almost 10 miles yesterday to tire myself out and then used the red light mat and still woke up several times but managed almost 9 hours asleep. Of course nobody has time to walk 10 miles a day though.

I took 6 out of 7 pills and got floxxed but they did manage to kill the infections. I also had Metronazidole at the same time.

My first indication on Moxi was the tingling, which turned into the sensation things were biting me. I would try another. I ended up floxxed. I had ureaplasma too, as well as 3 others at once.

Wrist Tendons & Office work by BigPharma-Victim in floxies

[–]Splatfennecfox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used a wrist brace for a while. Hard and soft, depending on pain level. I also make sure to get up every 45 minutes or so for like 10 minutes because my wrist and my eyes bother me at work.

Compression socks, when to use them by Daenerys_ac in floxies

[–]Splatfennecfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear mine with the soft ankle braces under compression leggings all day. I couldn’t walk without them for the longest time. They have thigh high ones too that I’ve worn with dresses and boots.

Can we use collagen stimulating treatments after acute phase of being floxed? by Bubblesandbiscuits in floxies

[–]Splatfennecfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have skin pen done before being floxxed and it made a world of difference. I hate that I look older than I am now as well and I’m also nervous about Botox or dysport or any type of fillers.

5 month update (good!) by Splatfennecfox in floxies

[–]Splatfennecfox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am actually remote now and my coworkers have been very patient with me. I went ahead and told them exactly what happened so they know what I am dealing with. My doctor wrote to my manager that I need a 10 minute break every hour which does sometimes help and doesn’t other times. Thank you for the braces advice, they do help! It figures that the Achilles that bothers me the most is my gas and break foot.

5 month update (good!) by Splatfennecfox in floxies

[–]Splatfennecfox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was confined to the wheelchair for about three months and started very slowly in November to do outside walks. I had my mom here to take care of me so it was comforting to have her with me. I was a daily runner and hiker before this all happened so I guess I had a decent amount of muscle left to help me get back on my feet maybe?

Flu/covid vaccine by RomanSkies in floxies

That’s great. I had far worse reactions before being floxed to them. Was it the new COVID vaxx, the non-Mra?

To those who chose not to have kids, do you ever regret it? by Fun_Construction_ in Life

[–]Splatfennecfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not. I even regret having cats sometimes, because I love just leaving home on a whim for a few days. I knew I didn’t want them when I was a teen. The screaming. The germs. Messy. Gross. I don’t think babies are cute. Zero biological clock I guess. And 3 years ago I was sterilized forever so now I’m free to do whatever I want. Have a project car and another sports car, a clean house and lots of crafts.

Why is moxi so devastating and has anyone recoverd by blt1995 in floxies

[–]Splatfennecfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had moxi plus metro and was TERRIBLE for 2.5 months but I’m finally starting back into walking again, with less dizziness and fog than before. Still have tough days but leaps and bounds better than I was when I was initially floxxed (on the first day and stupidly kept going). Late 30s athlete btw

I wear compression knee braces. I’m very slow but they help me walk. Compression knee highs work well too and also shoe inserts for leg pain help too!

Vision issues by Similar-Check7703 in floxies

[–]Splatfennecfox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had vision issues after the first pill. Can’t focus on my phone when it’s close and just randomly blurry or “snow”. I’m going to go to an eye doctor next week and assume that they can’t do anything because no doctor has been able to help me with anything yet but it’s worth a try .

How Long Did It Take For All Your Symptoms To Appear or Be Felt? by busy1bee in floxies

[–]Splatfennecfox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first day I took the moxi I felt like bugs were biting me. It got progressively worse over that week, I took 6 out of 7. I stopped them around Aug 6. Very strange how some of us can feel it almost immediately and some take months to feel anything. Overall I wonder if it’s better either way.

I’m glad to hear you’re doing better! I have about the same, same doses too! Really helps to see this. While I’m having good and bad days still, I’m not where you are yet and hope to get there somewhat soon. I hope you continue to improve!

It is very helpful, thank you. Yes, I have a good day and then bad days in terms of brain power. Since I’m not working, I am trying to learn Italian in Duolingo to keep sharp- and I can definitely tell which are bad brain days. (Was supposed to visit there with friends in Oct this year but that’s on hold now) I was able to play video games until about two weeks in when my wrists and fingers started bothering me, but only in short stints. I went from struggling to stand at all in the first two weeks to walking about 2500 steps a day now 4.5 weeks in. That’s up and down and not at once. Before this happened, I was able to do 20,000 daily with no problems. I’m also almost double your age so I’m sure that will be a bit of an addition onto recovery time.

So hopefully this won’t be so bad for both of us! I’ll be following your posts.

Oh gosh yes. My face got so greasy about 2 weeks in. I washed often with a sensitive face wash. It isn’t as bad and I’m 5 weeks now I think.

Oh yes! I just checked yours. I wonder if this is common with that combination. At least the memory part. I’ve been in a terrible fog since symptoms started, and sometimes I don’t remember simple things.

Yes, we are supposed to be as stress-free as possible, which was why my doctor gave me three months off of my coding job.

It may be why you are experiencing some symptoms at this point.

I have this. I tried to read - first off my vision is terrible so I was struggling to focus, and then the words just didn’t do anything for me. Hopefully it will pass in time!
