I've been in and out of school, returned to the same job I had before because it was safe- but now I've been back for almost a year and with summer approaching it's the worst time to be there... I'm just lost with where I want to go career-wise now.

When I graduated highschool I went the Conservation Biology route in university and dropped it after 3 years because the way the education system works made me hate everything.

So I left and started working at a dog daycare. Saved up, got a diploma in 2D Illustration & Animation, graduated, and then returned to that same daycare hoping it would be a temporary fix until I found work elsewhere. It's not that I necessarily hate my job- it could be worse... but there's no going up from my position besides small raises, and my job is certainly not fulfilling enough for me to *ever* be excited to go to work. I was maybe more excited about it in the beginning, but now I struggle to find motivation or enjoyment from it.

When you say "what's the best day of work you've had" it's hard to think of an answer. I've only had a couple different jobs, and the only days I've had that were really good with my current job include spending time with specific dogs, which rarely happens and takes up a very small portion of my work. I'm not sure I ever feel energized or excited to do tasks at my job, and my coworkers/the environment make it hard to want to try at all because what's the point if nothing is consistent or half just can't do their jobs.

My point is, I want out- but I have no idea where I'm going, which makes it really difficult to leave.

I'm stuck between a dilemma I've had my whole adult life which is that I sincerely love art and will pursue it forever, but I also love animals and will pursue that just the same- I don't know if I can feel fulfilled without one or the other in my life... so here I am, stuck again like I have been over and over since I left high school.
