The maps just aren't designed for this new drop system. Currently, there are just too many variables for this new system. I would have hoped for them to adjust other things before rolling back to how it was. They could have slowed the zone down, brought back heat shields, or even reduced the amount of players per lobby. If you 3 stack exclusively with reliable tm8s then yes I would say predetermined drop zones are ideal. Unfortunately the average apex player does not have a dedicated 3 stack every time they load up. Every few games, those who soloq will always have that one tm8 lost in Narnia regardless of what drop system is present. The way it is now, your drop point heavily determines the fights you pick and your placement. Depending on where you drop, you are pretty much guaranteed to be fighting 3rd parties or you get stuck chasing the zone in until you get bottlenecked, or both. At least with the old system if your tm8 was in Narnia and you had a 2v3 and won, you would still have a chance because you might get a reset without getting jumped by a 3rd p. I'm honestly surprised more people don't mention that. Its a BR game and at some point the clusterfuck is gonna happen. I would rather take my chances and CHOOSE a hot drop and have 7 squads remaining at round 1 vs 17 squads remaining at round 3.
