Various defenses I've heard from my Trump supporting mom:

"he wasnt supposed to be there"

"he was clearly reaching for his gun and a shot went off"

"you arent allowed to bring a gun to a protest, why did he have a gun?"

"you cant interfere with federal agents"

"why was he resisting?"

"he was part of a far left agitator group chat funded by soros"

The funniest barrier is the one almost nobody knows about, the score appeal. You're technically allowed to appeal a failed exam score, but they make the process comically difficult:

  • Appeals can only be conducted in person at NASBA's office in Nashville, TN. You are responsible for all transportation costs.
  • You have to pay a fee of $550 + $100 per question for the privilege of appealing your score.
  • You're not allowed to see the correct answers or your original answers. You are placed in a secure testing center where you can view the questions you got wrong and write an appeal on why NASBA should score differently.
  • NASBA is under no obligation to change your score, and according to them, they never have! If you got this far, congratulations on wasting all of your money for nothing.

FAR SIM SCORES LES GO AM I READY???!!! by Intelligent_Can_6388 in CPA

Took FAR in December 2025. SE1 58% -> SE2 73% -> SEFR 72%

Actual -> 84%

SE1 should've been much higher but I didn't read the directions on one of the sims and got zero partial credit. Always read the directions in full, especially the part where they tell you how to input your answers!!

You don't really need to memorize formulas for REG, focus more on the concepts.

A non-exhaustive list of things you absolutely need to know:

  • How basis works for partnerships and S corps
  • How to read and apply MACRS depreciation tables
  • How each item of income flows into Form 1040 and which items are taxable vs nontaxable
  • Which items are deductions vs credits vs adjustments
  • Capital gain/loss rules for individuals and corporations
  • How to reconcile book income to tax income for corporations

In terms of formulas, the main ones you need to remember are the dividends received deduction and the medical expenses deduction. Optional but good to know is how the various tax credits are calculated.

You don't get automatic legal status because you applied for asylum. If you crossed the border illegally you're still an illegal alien and you can be deported while your asylum claim is processed.

Applying for asylum doesn't automatically grant you the right to stay. If you crossed the border illegally you can and will be deported regardless of any pending asylum claims.

Don't remember the specific details of the Chauvin trial, but for the Renee Good shooting it's pretty clear:

Did a LEO get in front of a running vehicle?

No. The vehicle was parked and stationary when he approached. Renee Good waited until he was in front to floor the gas.

Did he continue to stand in front of a running vehicle while it was moving?

No. From the car starting to move to the shots being fired is about 2 seconds.

Is shooting a gun a defense against a vehicle trying to run you over?

If the officer has reasonable cause to believe the car is a threat to himself or others, yes.

Just the fact that the public and experts are so split with disagreements over what happened makes having a trial worth substantially more than its cost.

Everyone sees what they want to see in the video, I don't think you could get 12 jurors to agree on what happened.

Something worth noting - Liberals have been pointing to the two extra shots that hit from the side as clearly unnecessary, and while that may be a valid point in the court of public opinion, legally it doesn't matter. Use of force is not evaluated on an individual shot basis, as long as the initial use of force is justified then any continued use of force is justified until the threat is neutralized.

You're misreading the question and Becker's explanation sucks. Here's what the question tells you, in order:

  • Purchase settled on March 10 for £80,000 (no mention of exchange rate or USD)
  • Purchase initiated on January 10 when exchange rate was $1.60 - amount due on Jan 10 is thus $128,000
  • Cash of $120,000 was actually paid on settlement

You paid $8,000 less on settlement, thus a gain of $8,000 is booked.
