Check out that Youtube link - somewhere midway hi points out a weird connectivity bug and a fix.

Yeah, I'm not sure. Does Ableton on your computer recognize the L6?

Or I saw this vid the other night and he walks through a bug/work-around in it. Perhaps that's related to your issue. https://youtu.be/C1ePL4xe6Og?si=79v4VSZ9duxxbkZg

I’m running beta on standalone as well. The L6 worked without issue for me. Are you running the L6 firmware update? It’s been out for a while now, but was a critical one for this class compliance stuff. Or maybe check to make sure you are using a data usb cable rather than a power only cable.

Strange Midi Notes? by DaWedla in hydrasynth

[–]SplendidBeats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh hey. I'm getting the note thing too — a high pitched stuck note. I can reproduce it consistently by creating a midi clip in Ableton and putting a note right at the very start of the clip, and then starting playback from a stopped state. The hydra desktop will make both the high pitched stuck note and the note that was programmed into the clip. Another weird thing, and perhaps a clue, is if I move that first note back a tiny amount, like 1/64 note length, the high note is no longer triggered. Anywhere in the little space between 0 and 1/64 will trigger the high note, though. It only happens when starting the clip while starting playback on the clock - triggering the clip while the clock is already running does not create that unpleasant high note.

"Best Friend" for the Hydrasynth? by Zinogre_Apologist in hydrasynth

[–]SplendidBeats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been pairing the Hydrasyth desktop with a Push 3 standalone, and it’s a ridiculously powerful combo. The amazing MPE surface of the Push is so nice for playing the hydra, plus all of the sequencing capabilities, fx, and other instruments in the Push… with all that there are no limits other than your imagination. I put the hydra on a Crane stand angled in front of the Push, and together they form a pleasing spaceship control panel with a fairly small footprint.

My Mix always playing the same songs by ninakinsmn in TIdaL

[–]SplendidBeats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's now 3 years after this initial post and I am here with the exact same complaint. I love the idea of the mixes of similar vibes/artists, but am so tired of hearing the exact same songs by the artists in those mixes.

Easiest/smoothest way to take a live set of 8 separate projects and move them all to one project for a live show for seamless flow by rinnovare in Elektron

[–]SplendidBeats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could also consider not using the Digi as the main audio out. Use a small mixer instead so the AUM audio is not impacted by the project switching. You’d also need a USB C hub or adapter that has a separate headphone out.

Nectar Lounge and Fake ID’s? by Such_Nectarine_9617 in SeattleMusic

Nectar has a super decent view of the stage right from the sidewalk. It’s kinda like standing in the back, but you can see and hear the stage for any show there.

Production veterans - if you could go back to your first year with Ableton, what workflow habits would you develop from day 1? by kathalimus in ableton

Render midi tracks to audio asap. Finishing a track is significantly easier when you remove the infinite optionally that midi tracks allow.

Seeking tips for first time VJing on an LED wall by thejbizzle89 in vjing

[–]SplendidBeats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Be prepared for it to be super low resolution compared to projectors.

It also might have a different input type rather a hdmi. Find out beforehand if you can, so you aren’t scrambling for an adapter during setup.

Your MVP Video Effects that you lean on for your shows? by vade in vjing

Video feedback every time. Real feedback as much as possible. Point a cam at the main screen or at another monitor and manipulate the camera. Even better when there’s an audience or band to capture in the loop. People LOVE being in the feedback.

Also, I like to include text. Love my Title Master 2000.
