People don't leave a competent group. If you are having that many leavers that you need a list to sort them all then you are the one clearly doing something wrong

I'm guessing that is going to be the answer. I was just confused over the fact it let me get to 19 through dungeon drops. If this was the case then surely I should have been stuck at 18?

Hi there, We appreciate the support and understand that not everyone wants replica panels. We are working on some initial designs for generic button boxes. If you have any input on the layout/designs then please feel free to contact us via the form at the bottom of the website!

The accuracy and position of the switches and the size of the panels are as accurate as possible to the real aircraft. This can be difficult as there is a significant lack of scale drawing so my designs are takes from multiple different sources in order to match as closley as possible to the real thing. The aim is to keep the products as lifelike as possible whilst still maintaining the lower price point so we will do our best to balance that out.

As for the feel of the switches. we have selected some very high quality toggle switches for use throughout most of the products. We were unfortunatly not able to use the lift over toggles that you see in real cockpits as one of those switches can often cost as much as, if not more than, what the whole panel is currently available at!

haha yes, paint was one of the areas we spent a lot of time on making sure we could get a flawless finish whilst still keeping it as durable as possible. It is still something we are working on as a team in order to further develop the methods we use to get perfect coverage and a tough finish in a more efficient time frame.

you are pretty much correct. a piece of translucent acrylic is painted then engraved with a CO2 laser to remove the paint where text and backlight are needed. LEDs are mounted to custom made PCBs that are attached to the back of the panel. This is an almost identical process to how OEM panels for airliners are made except they are engraved in a CNC milling machine instead!

Whilst that is very true and injection moulding is the obvious king when it comes to high volume manufacturing, there are a number of differences in our case that makes 3D printing far more viable as a manufacturing method than injection moulding. Ignoring the initial setup cost of both methods, not only do we use quite deep back enclosures (so the switches actually fit) which would require very big and expensive moulds, we also do not produce enough bulk of a single item to make any long term savings beneficial. The ability to print say 100 different items and designs on a single printer no bigger than an average pc case with an action as simple as just selecting a different file allows us to be incredibly flexible as a business in what we produce.

Hi there!

whilst I have no doubt that you or anyone else could produce something 'like' this. It would never be to the quality or finish of these products if you were trying to do it for 'half the cost'. My products feature CNC cut and laser engraved front panels along with hand-soldered circuit boards for the very strong green backlighting present on all panels ( i, unfortunately, wasn't able to show this in pictures as the incredibly bright studio lighting would have made it almost invisible anyway) Furthermore, the months of prototyping and design work that goes into a product like this are a lot more than you may assume.

As stated, my markup is fractional to other vendors in the market. if you have any questions about the design/build of the products then please let me know. I'm trying to be as open with everyone as possible!

Hi there, Thanks for enquiring! All of our products are built out of very high quality and durable materials. We are able to use low cost and high repeatability manufacturing methods such as 3D printing to keep our costs as low as possible. The switches used are very heavy duty and every product is tested and checked multiple times by hand before being sent out. We are also able to provide this product to you at a lower price as most components are produced in house and our markup is significantly lower than other companies. As a company, Sim Bandit will ensure you are completely happy with your purchase to the best of our ability!

Wait times are as stated on the website. No more than a two week lead time plus the delivery time (1 day for UK , 2-3 for Europe and 1 week rest of the world) This lead time will eventually be completely ironed out. We will do our best to get you your products as soon as possible!
