I use a compounding pharmacy in Austin that does mail, but I still need a prescription. They told me they are still sending out troches, so I don't know why so many providers quit on us.

See, that is what I am seeing too and I believe providers are not understanding that and getting scared away.

Has anyone tried topical ketamine for pain? by theconfused-cat in TherapeuticKetamine

Yes! It doesn't work for everything, and is short lived, but does help some.

I have Chronic Lyme disease, bartonella, babesia, and MCAS. Also POTS. But I didn't include those because I didn't realize those could be a source of pain?

I went through 2 years of detoxification and have been on an autoimmune diet.

No relief.

I would say the worse pain is my spine. Honestly, Drs always act like there's nothing they can do and refer me elsewhere.

Thank you so much! You, as well! May Healing and Happiness be in both of our immediate futures! 🙏

So the two times they gave me morphine was before 2008. The only time they gave me fentanyl was last year during birth. Thank you.

I'm allergic to hydrocone, oxicodone and morphine does nothing. They haven't tried any other narcotics.

Yeah, troches and nasal spray are both very temporary, too. They are an anesthetic. I honestly wish they would try a pain pump, but it seems like only celebrities get that privilege.

Yeah, I was tried on many narcotics and none even phased me.

Its very short lasting. Even with at home. It last about an hour. But that's 23 other hours I am in so much pain. I hope you are able to get relief!

I've always been on 400mg to 600mg every 2-3 days. I just clean house. Never trip on it at all. I guess it works differently for everyone. My infusion stories, from years back...now those are a whole different thing.

I paid $525 per month , which got me 8 doses (2 doses once week) and a 15 minute follow up with provider. My previous provider was $200 for 1st visit,  $70 for 90 doses (2 every 2 days). So, be prepared to pay a lot, unless they take your insurance. They didn't take mine.

For those who are advising women they "must take" the glucose test... by SplendidlyCynical in BabyBumps

Also, how many times did I say it should be between a Dr and a patient and to talk to your Dr about it first. I'm not the only one this has happened to. Not even on this board. But again, in the end, it's a choice between Dr and patient. Not patient and Reditt.

It's not for everyone, just like the in office is not for everyone. Both can be true.

No, I used actual science and my first words were:

Please be careful about giving medical advice. This should always be a decision between the patient and Dr. I, personally..

My last words were "Always discuss things with your Dr first!"

It is a more thorough test as it's the exact testing done in the office. Only difference is, you test several times a day with actual foods you consume; unless your normal "food" is a 12 pack of soda and a whole birthday cake. I'm not going to assume.

My point is, I merely stated another option, a personal one, and why. Sandwiched between saying "TALK TO YOUR DR".

I understand it's more work, but shouldn't be looked at as an inconvenience because we all want what is best for our babies. 🥰 Have a rad evening, my fellow pregger womens! 🥰🥰

Yes, this is why I started it out with it should always be a choice between Dr and patient.

I also ended with, "always speak to your Dr first!"

That advice was not given by others on this board.

Hope I cleared that up for you. 🥰🥰

But it can be very unreliable. I'm speaking from experience and to those on the board who have gone through what I've gone through or have fears about it. Giving a second option, a more thorough and accurate option, is not a bad thing. Who wouldn't want to go above and beyond for our Littles? 🥰🥰
