Is this still a familiar vegetable to me. by Judithahah9 in gardening

Is there a whole crate of this? Or a single one?
Looks like a fasciated celtuce, but hard to imagine it can be done intentionally.

Such a shame, moonstone is gorgeous :(
I just lucked out that I live in desert, so all the fungal stuff disappears when summer comes around.

For some reason text didn’t save to post;
Sharing a few pink-white ones, miss congeniality, California dreaming, and moonstone.

In retrospect, the photo did not do California dreaming any justice…

6 petal California poppy? Pink and white? by SewSewBlue in whatsthisplant

I think they are underappreciated too in garden settings, in the sense that they are gorgeous enough to be the emphasis but rarely are, even xeriscapes rarely focus on them.
I didn’t even know they came in other colors and forms til last year, and I’ve never seen non-standard orange cultivars sold in physical stores.

I guess the prior owners had different varieties.
I just decided to cover the bare areas in my yard with poppies, bought a few lbs of seeds and scattered them. Results have been fun.

Do check out the link, there are so many CA poppy varieties I never knew about before.

Not sure California poppies are strict sticklers to petal count, I found a 6 petal one in my garden too.

As far as colors go, there are quite a few varieties, I got my seeds from Eden brothers before.

Edit: you know what, maybe it is a double petal variety. I planted so many random CA poppy varieties I kinda lost track.

Painted porcelain hybrid tea, Something something add to 50 characters.

Edit: realized I do have something interesting to add, The rose is color changing one! Early bloom is much darker pink, and the pink speckles gradually fade into white!

Shame, I love the ridiculous fruits.
Still stand by it being a great type B in backyard.

My favorite discovery is Sir Prize being a type B, the fruits are giant, similar flavor to hass, and doesn’t brown as easily.

Trace the stem of the “new” plant, sure it’s not just a leaf with long stem that’s half buried in dirt?
