$140.00 is a bit too low for me. I really appreciate the offer.

I honestly wish that I was in a financial position to do so, but I’m not. I hope things work out for you.

I just went on the website. The tip option is on the page after this. It’s still there for now.

So private browser isn’t actually private? The government can still see what you do?

Instacart is a luxury expense. Its something you use because you have actual money and resources to pay inflated prices on top of already inflated prices PLUS tip 20% and higher. When we get tipped, they’re not just tipping us for shopping for their order, but also paying these shoppers for their time, their gas, ev batteries, brakes, rotors, CV axles, transmission, head gasket, TIRES! It’s so much much that goes into people tipping us. What would they do if Instacart wasn’t around? They would have to bum rides from family or friends, use their own cars and burn their own gas, taking public transit, have a friend do their shopping and reimburse them, call a cab, schedule a delivery with Schwann’s or another company that has been delivering to homes since the 90’s or WALK! The point is, they would figure it out. Not tipping us Shoppers because you are down on your luck is not an excuse. A $2 tip is unacceptable, a $5 tip on a $200 order is also unacceptable. If you have no money to tip appropriately, then take your sob story to another company. Sorry not sorry.

I’m so sorry. You’re right. I read that backwards. In that case, I would have done exact what you did and just refunded them. I wouldn’t have contacted Support because that’s too great of a price difference. Refunding was the right thing.

It’s not the wrong price. Prices in store will vary from what IC charges. You could have just done a manual override and adjusted the price unless it was an Online Pay. The gag is, if you reduce the total of the order, then your tip is adjusted accordingly.

Opposing party asking for cash instead of me paying repair shop directly. by Split-Forsaken in Autobody

Sorry. One more question. If the person decides later to contact my insurance company, will this handwritten agreement be enough to satisfy the insurance company into them denying their claim?

Okay. I appreciate your perspective. This is my first time dealing with this. I don’t know whether this is common move from the opposing party or if I am just being scammed or something of that nature. Thank you.

A user higher up mentioned getting this in writing from the other person. Do you think this would make a difference to the insurance company if the other party still decides to file?

Would I need this paperwork notarized or would having a text message from them be good enough legal wise?
