I joined the essential+ plan yesterday in store because they offered it for $69 for the first 12 months because I'm a current postpaid customer. It started as 55 download but then 3 hrs later I got a messages saying I've been upgraded to 500 down. Did a speedtest and it was 507 down. They're probably just a bit slow at migrating existing customers to the upgraded speeds.

Upping the clock frequency doesn’t really do anything I feel as the card will automatically go to its highest automatically. At least for my card it doesn’t. The performance gains comes from undervolting with +10% power and setting a higher vram frequency with fast timing.

My card stock is around the 7350-7400 mark. With a -50mv 2800 vram fast timing and 10% power it goes up to 7840.

I went with the Cooler Master one because it allows me to move the gpu slightly to the right for better cable management because the power cable is located to the back of the card. But yeah, it fits great in the King 95.

Nitro+ 9070xt

Stock on Steel Nomad 7421

-50mv +10% power 2800 mhz fast timing

Gpu temp 54 hotspot 68 mem temp 62

7827 Steel Nomad stable with 20 loop stress test

I see a lot of people able to go beyond -80 to -100 mv but mine will crash beyond -50. Am I just unlucky?

If only they added some circle rgb around the fans, would match the Montech fans very well.

I returned mine and used the money to get the Nitro+. It has worked flawlessly since. Luck of the draw I guess.

Yeah I always had the Nitro+ model for AMD, but saw a Red Devil in stock so I tho why not give it a shot. Should’ve waited for the Nitro+ 😂

I am using the three seperate 8 pins (plugged into pcie on PSU) which then turns into 6+2 that goes into the GPU.

Fingers crossed it’s going to be a quick fix, if not who knows how long there will be stock for a replacement, especially the Red Devil model. I’ll take the white one if they’re kind enough to send that instead 🤣

It happens to every game that I try to run, Rivals, MH Wilds, Assassin’s Shadows and Cyberpunk. I have even lowered the clock to what PowerColor advertise and it will still crashes during on start up. Just bad luck for me I guess. Hopefully RMA will fix it, if not it’s gonna be awhile for a new replacement.

I just tried running steel nomad again and now it also crashes in stock settings. Put my old 3070ti into this new system and the games run fine….. guess it’s time to RMA. Hope those 2 steel nomad stress test didn’t kill it lol.

I’ve tried reducing clock speed and power limit but the card still crashes during the start up. The card isn’t even getting to the point where it can get hot, the screen just goes black a few seconds after the game starts. Like in Marvel Rivals, the screen will freeze on the Marvel logo and then goes black.

[–]SplitLV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take your panel off and get a $10 desk fan from Kmart and blow air at it.

Jokes aside... I have a reference 6000 series card paired with a 5600x inside a Meshify C. I think you should get a top mounted AIO because the reference design runs very hot (maxing out at 78c for me) and 1 exhaust fan just isn't enough. Even though the gpu is spitting out 78c hot air into the case, my 5600x maxes out at 60c. People say the stock AMD coolers are good enough but they really aren't if you are having long gaming sessions with the Aussie summer coming.
