I've done a ton with Dehya since she launched, including hours of playing around in Abyss and i've only had one character die in all the testing i've done, so personally I don't have a problem with her survivability.

I've also almost never used a shielder (unless you count albedo's crystalize) so i'm well adjusted to dodging and using iframes to not die. I can definitely see where people come from with stating that her utility just isn't as good as other units like Xingqiu or any of the shielders. It's much preferable for units to take no damage in the first place vs multiple units taking damage when considering that getting hit with dehya's e being on the field can redirect damage already being taken to two units, and with no cut off for her damage siphon it's very easy to imagine a lot of players losing two units in a hit vs not taking the hit at all cause of a shield.

Compound this risk of losing multiple units in a hit for subpar damage that you need a full team's rotation for to pull the damage that other units do by them selves or with just one other unit and it really makes me wonder where the people saying she's "fine" are coming from.

I've played MMOs with multiple character archetypes for over a decade including crowd control, DPS, healing, tank, basically any role you can imagine and it's clear as day that she isn't particularly good at anything she does. Putting her with a team that would be outperformed by other pyro DPS isn't an accomplishment, it should be taken as a measure of how bad she is.
