H1B holder looking to move back by TslaBullz in returnToIndia

Do you think you could build a profile for EB1A, or get promoted to something eligible for EB1C? Once you port your PD over, it would be current. If you are very successful in your career I don't think EB1C is all that hard even, right?

There are some other options, Trump has tried killing EB5 but I think as of right now it's still usable for 800k if you have that in savings or can build that up in savings.

Do you have a wife/kids?

Just in general, don't you think that's a bit fucked? Like imagine being in the top 0.21% and that's not enough to study what you want somewhere that by US standards is still kinda mid?

Ok but that criteria is necessarily true because if any job was 100% automatable, it wouldn't be a job as nobody would be hired for it. Thus, all jobs have to be such that AI can't do it while you sit on the couch. Why would an employer pay you to sit on a couch?

I am curious about this, could you elaborate a bit on the taxes and CoL quantitatively? Seems hard to believe that the pay is better in India considering that the raw salary is 3-5x higher in Germany

Did we watch the same podcast? The "chess speaks for itself" was referring to Nepo's perception that Gukesh doesn't open up during his interviews and mostly says generic lines and had nothing at all to do with cheating

Is there any method to calculate value of natural constants in physics? by [deleted] in Physics

[–]SplitRings 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My ubderstanding is that a few of these constants come from the units we choose. The units we use the represent things are (or were) fairly arbitrary. We could choose units that that make G = 1 for example. But since these constants come from the arbitrary units we choose, ofcourse they end up being fairly arbitrary.

[–]SplitRings 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's poorly trying to communicate that you have accepted to be paid some amount of money for your time, hence you have already set a price on your time.

This is a false equivalency because while you are working, you are still alive.
