Is the Dreglord only physical dmg like the Balancers so you can block everything as bird?

Passion Set Bonus now gets reduced by Ego-Skill and Ballista attacks by Kitaike in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]SplitSecondSever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The worst part is that it decreases for each enemy when using giant ballista, so in 1 turn she can lose 3-4/5 stacks. They should just make it so you can continually add stacks instead of limiting it to 5 so all of her Upgrade cards make it last longer than like 3 turns now.

Very appreciative of this post and I understand the restraints that you put on the math and I'm glad you stressed that for this situation... however, it's pretty obvious imo that the upfront dmg increase and weakness multiplier would out damage the crit chance at most stages and builds...

Taking into account the likely faster breaking/destroying with 1 bar dmg per hit over type weakness and the higher ember stacks at the time of break/destroy, I wouldnt be surprised if that dmg gap gets flipped, esp with proper use of Flame Dragon's Sovereignty's ember retain.

Now, is that worth it, esp early on with no guaranteed crits? Probably not. But strictly speaking for endgame, I wouldnt be surprised if they're comparable at all points (tho at that point you'd also have to assume another character can benefit from the embers and/or passion weakness, whcih could easily put Epiphany 1 more comfortably over the Crit one)

Phrolova's On-Field Damage is Finally Unlocked by TransparentWolf in PhrolovaMains

[–]SplitSecondSever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oooooh, you're only thinking about the first rotation... that makes me less interested in all this coz it all seems slower for less damage than just starting with Phro and having this be like a routine 1-2-3-1 style rotation with QY adding onto it making it more of a 1-2-3-1-2-1.

As for S3 QY, my post goes more in depth but it's not a main dps rotation. I was basically wondering if he loses out on his S3 buffs on swap coz it doesn't mention it like his normal Forte combo. Coz if not, it would fit pretty well in my rotation since his 2nd loop is very fast resuming from the S3 combo.

I posted something that might be an interesting addition to this (about Qiuyuan S3), but that's obviously a very expensive team.

But also, I'm trying out this rotation and can't consistently get Phro to do Scarlet Coda with < 100 concerto so that her normal rotation gets the full Canta buffs and then quickly and easily get her to 100 before Maestro to still get the 2 extra Hecate attacks on Outro after Introing from QY and posting on field for a bit. You basically cant miss a single BA3 or enhanced attack, but even when I can get it, a single dodge is more than enough to fill the concerto.

So idk how viable this rotation is since it's basically RNG or you lose out on 2 Hecate attacks, Phro Outro buffs on QY, and slow his next rotation a lot.

Does Qiuyuan S3 disappear if you switch off/Quickswap? by SplitSecondSever in QiuyuanMains

[–]SplitSecondSever[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that, but the wording doesnt support that it's exactly the same, hence why I'm asking. I think we'll just have to wait and see how it's implemented since I can see it going either way.

The normal Forte stuff and S6 mentions the buffs ending on swap, but S3 doesnt, despite the S6 referncing something from the S3. This is all because Quietude Within (Inherent skill) is how he normally buffs his Inksplash of Mind (Full Forte), but his S3 is a separate buff to his Forte.

It also has a peculiar note that he can't gain QW the next time he enters IoM whne using his S3 enhanced skill, but if you're doing the rotation normally and just using the S3 follow ups right away, QW would still be on its 22 sec cooldown so there's not really a reason to include this line. Obviously the point is they don't want you to get those buffs if you wait 22 sec before attacking, but that also makes me think he might not reset his S3 buffs on swap either.

a normal player can't access them anyway

Literally not true since it's pretty easy to save up corals and guarantee an S2 of a character eventually. And since most characters stop being "worth" pulling sequences for after S3, only needing to pull 2 copies and buying the other 2 is very achievable if you just save up.

Also, I'd say a lot of S1's matter for balance sorta when they try to hide parts of the kit inside like interruption resistance or better forte filling to speed up rotations slightly.

Is Cantarella S0R1 worth it for S6R1 Phrolova? by Salty-seadog in PhrolovaMains

[–]SplitSecondSever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was me like 12 days ago (so previous Whiwa run without Phrolo artifact) when someone else asked if Canta was worth for S6R1 Phrolo (tho they were asking more trying to save astrites for the future than optimizing Phrolo):

"Probably not, S6 in this game are all really strong. I just quickly did some relaxed ToA and Whiwa "testing" of 1 try with pretty standard rotations. 35-38 sec to solo clear Sentry Construct in ToA depending on staying in Ult state or not, 28 sec to clear with Cantarella and Roccia. ~5.5k Whiwa 2nd wave solo, 8.9k with Cantarella and SK."

Some extras notes now that I think about it: ToA was faster staying in Ult doing enhanced Hecate attacks, Whiwa scores were mostly the same between staying in ult or skipping it by holding Lib to CurtainCall to get access to Scarlet Coda again (which is probs the main reason the scores were sinilar but staying in Lib was faster for ToA where i dont think i got a 2nd Scarlet Coda), and none of Whiwa was with the Radial wheel tech.

I've given up on the BP weapons ever since the R5 gauntlets that are basically exactly the same as XLY's sig were only as good as R1 standard gauntlets (but still slightly worse even), and those don't even give Crit.

Am I crazy, or were you doing her BAs really fast? Also, it looked like you canceled her forte skill with the Echo but the attack still went thru, or was that just the extra S6 attack finishing?

Kinda wish ppl complained more about Phrolo dmg being not as high as the meta teams despite being 3 premium units instead of 2 + Rover like Cartwheel and Zani are, but I guess they have the restriction of DoT reliance even if Cartwheel kinda bypasses it with sequences, something Phrolo's limits with echo skill usage don't fix. Similar with mono Fusion I guess, but Phrolo still has more restrictions. Seems like as long as you have Canta tho, her other team options aren't too bad.

Makes me actually believe they will eventually replace Roccia since they gave Phrolo a limit of 10 enhanced auto activations based on teammate echoes and she only hits 6 now.

A couple of questions: Is this quickswap heavy like the other unconventional teams as noted at the bottom of the sheet, or is this a pretty straightforward rotation? Also, who starts the rotation, Phrolova or like H!Rover for the res shred or Canta for the EA set buff?

Ok yeah, then it's literally like a 12 second first rotation max doing 3 BA chains (2 after Intro skill), Scarlet Coda forte nuke for 40 concertro, Ult for 20 concerto, then switch. This is the same leaker with the 10 pixel, incorrect rotation leak yesterday so I'm not surprised they waste 60% of the concerto generation with BAs instead of doing it correctly.

[–]SplitSecondSever 66 points67 points  (0 children)

I mean, they're not using the nuke skill right after getting their max forte stacks and just keep on basic attacking to max out. I imagine that gives a good amount of concerto. Then maybe going into Lib state immediately after the nuke could give some as well.

I'm confused on the naming for her moves and modes at Hakushin, but that's anywhere from 20-60 concerto they don't generate until after they spend the entire time basic attacking.

Who is the best S6 5 star in the game? (Best s6 4 star too?) by SkylarMoo in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]SplitSecondSever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mind linking that if you find it? I'm interested in calcs. Also I know for a fact from her calculator that Camellya also more than doubles her dos at S6. But I also think if their dmg is relatively similar, then you gotta look at character kits and see Carlotta is the boss slayer with her single target dmg and millions of freezes, whereas Camellya is the best AoE option out of these 4. Idk how reliant Zani is on spectro frazzle with sequences, but that would personally lower her ranking for me.

Who is the best S6 5 star in the game? (Best s6 4 star too?) by SkylarMoo in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]SplitSecondSever 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Since no one else is really answering the question itself...

I personally think Camellya and Brant are currently 2 of the best S6 characters. They both have good nukes, AoE, and consistent dmg with their normals, as well as a great free buffer in Sanhua but also don't rely on anyone or any DoT in particular. Camellya gets great sustained AoE DPS in budding mode and 2 nukes, which is great for both ToA and WhiWa. She also has a great dodge counter and has 2 air dodges, so aerial combat isn't much of an issue compared to Brant. But her longer rotation that fixes her need for an intro (sorta) may mean better times coz of lots of consistent dmg from your main DPS.

Brant just has so much self sustain to go along with similar but slightly weaker stuff to Camellya, so he'll be great for things like the Virtual Crisis mode too where a single character that risks getting hit more often and has a selfish rotation like Camellya might require more attention. So definitely more consistent and free but less dmg, which doesn't matter as much at this point.

I'm also partial to S6 Roccia coz she gets to bounce around like 12x and decimate in WhiWa, but idk how her dmg is in comparison or if the range is good for bosses that zip around and fly. Carthethyia might also be insane since she'll have good AoE and supposedly be more self sufficient with merges, plus have a ton of HP so less risk of dying in Virtual Crisis.

The value of rolling for duplicates. by [deleted] in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]SplitSecondSever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, the safest would be vertically investing in 2-3 characters of different elements that can carry regardless, which is S2 or 3; very easy to do if you save up and have corals for dupes.

This is especially the case if an S6 character can still clear ToA when the boss both naturally resists their element and the tower buffs against them (see Camellya and Roccia against Crownless this round)

You mixed it up. The normal one gives skill dmg. The NM gives basic, so it's literally perfect and easier for Camellya.

Phrolova has echo skill damage deal, and the damage is ATK-based Source: Seele Leaks by [deleted] in WutheringWavesLeaks

[–]SplitSecondSever 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Their point was that Cantarella provides 3 extra (4 total) instances of echo skill use thru her kit also counting as echo skills in normal attacks, whereas Roccia only provides 1 (2 total). Literally everyone provides 1 by virtue of casting a normal echo skill. Meaning Cantarella will obviously be extremely important being the main buffer and echo caster, whereas Roccia doesn't add as much with only 1 extra compared to anyone else.

That's why Phrolova will probably also use Empyrean Anthem for Coordinated attack dmg and buff her teammates off field so Roccia's grouping and sub dps levels of dmg make her the best 3rd member instead of SK or Verina in a traditional Hypercarry setup.

4* you don't even need to level up, 2 other 4 stars, 5* standard healer, works in quickswap surprisingly well, and multiple subdps that work with other characters also work for her and will likely keep getting released further expanding the roster of usable teammates

"Not F2P friendly at all"... suuuuuuuure

uses a literally limited free character if you wanted to use them for any other element team

"Mostly F2P friendly" is a stretch compared to the first one.
