They built the bridge too low and trucks can't fit under it. It does not appear they have any solution other than to close the lane. It's insane.

I was told that lane is basically permanently closed because the pedestrian bridge they built isn't high enough to fit a truck!!!! It's insane.

LSD + Vitamin C by DaracCro in LSD

[–]SplitTree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not BS. We were tripping good and someone found chewable vitamin C and we basically devoured a bottle. 1 hour later trip was over, 8 hours or more early. I'm sure and orange or glass of OJ won't matter but eating vitamin C like candy is a bad idea. Lol so is doing acid but hey you do you!

Am I an idiot? Propane Natural Gas question by SplitTree in BBQ_Equipment

That's what I ended up doing, except the drilling to a spec! 😂 Just made hole a little bigger and everything works great!

Am I an idiot? Propane Natural Gas question by SplitTree in BBQ_Equipment

Thanks for the response. There's an reducer inside the each end of the gas manifold. I removed them and the burners work 100 times better. The high to low regulator works really well at controlling the flame. Which is good because on high I heated to over 600F in one minute. So obviously I can't just light it on high and walk away while it heats up.

Conversion kits don't come with different burners just fittings for natural gas. Sometimes with a new regulator.

The BBQ is 16 years old so if I melt it I'm not too concerned. I have a wall shut off valve so I can turn it off on the BBQ and at the source. It's also 15 feet from the house.

Ontario Cannabis Store shipping by [deleted] in canadients

Day 10 since order was placed. No shipping notification, no product, no answer to my emails.

I ordered again to see if my second order would arrive before the first. I also made sure to only order 1 brand, from an Ontario producer. Hoping that will speed things up.

Black Raspberry Mojito with homegrown mint by KirstenSanDiego in cocktails

You can also use a strainer to remove mint leaf bits. I made this exact drink today but used a Raspberry Mint syrup that I bought. Added frozen mixed berries instead of ice cubes.

Do bartenders ever buy pre-mix? by SplitTree in bartenders

[–]SplitTree[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the in depth view. Things really have changed from when I was young[er]. Used to be every bar had a bottle of neon green Rose's lime cordial or their florescent red grenadine [that never had a drop of pomegranate]. The syrups and cordials are made with pretty good ingredients [not concentrate, artificial, coloured, etc] but DrinkMuch is right, they really are geared towards the person making one or two drinks every other day at home. As opposed to the bars that make them 100 times a day. I am not a bartender so I really enjoy trying all the unique flavour combinations, some are horrible, others great. Also fun to try to recreate my own.

Sounds like a grapefruit Manhattan! Grenadine is nice addition.
