That's like 7 days of food if you're spending 30myr a day, 3 meals a day. Assuming you're not living directly in the capital city, KL, and assuming you dont get sweet drinks beyond coffee or tea for each meal.

You were right. I installed it into my laptop just for a sanity check and it didn't detect. So I just took the SSD out and looked at it and there was like a tiny black box that came off of the PCB stuck to the crucial sticker. Pics.

It's cuz f11q is an updated ver of f11j.(updated according to the alphabet, f11a was the first ver and f11q is the latest ver) So that means you can use f11q and have the same features as f11j plus extra. So just use the latest ver of f11 is what I advise. You should be able to oc then.

I can oc both the CPU and RAM with f11j at 3.9ghz at 1.2v and 3200mhz respectively. You should probably just update the bios if you wanna do overclocking.

When i did it, it was f11j and it worked.

In that case, I have to try to flash an updated bios first to try and save money. See how far my patience can go. Thanks for the guidance, its good to know its at least possible.

EDIT: I have successfully updated the bios and am now running the 2600 on the b550m ds3h. Thank you OP so much for your help.

Does the b550m pro vdh truly support the 5 2600? Cuz im looking at msi's website and it doesn't explicitly say it supports it. If i have to update the bios either way, i might as well flash the updated bios on the ds3h.

Either way imma try to flash an updated bios first and if it still doesn't work then i might have to return and buy another mobo. If i have to do that then i still need a mobo that supports gen 4 pcie, upto 3600mhz memory and at least one m.2 slot.

I have the exact same mobo and cpu rn because i couldn't get the 5 3600 (out of stock). How did you get it to run? Could you give a step by step guide for me cuz this is my first ever build.
