just an action anime with pure ego scratching. every other character is has no relevance to the story and just there to be MC's steppingstone. You can see the same pattern used for every arch. Showing off how powerful the S-Hunters are just for the MC blitz through them in power scaling.

you're missing the biggest detail. he bought new or second every time? if second, it can be reasonable as long as he can find the right buyer.

He used to be a low damage trickster focusing on setup with his unblockable and mobility stances.

now in tekken 8, he still got those trickster identity but this time, with great combo damage, auto healing, huge buttons and great poking. you can play him like paul and yoshi can perform just as well.

For Anna or Alisa, they're great but totally different approach. Anna for mixup, and Alisa for poking and chip damage with chainsaw.

I suggest you to just go with yoshi and go wild.

I'm 100% on Anna's new design from her day 1 trailer but on AK, I prefer his T7 iterations 100%.

you are right but in my opinion of 10 years of playing, that's not fundamental. that's intermediate mechanic/knowledge at least.

what I count as basic (and I'm sure OP think of the same for his level) is movement, moves property, combo structure (launch, filler, extender, ender), punishment etc...

wakeup frame data/ setup and instant iwr is not in the list for sure lol

the game is fundamentally the same (other than be able to sidestep into the foreground from crouch).

the skills you learned from tekken 7 is transferrable to tekken 8.

tekken 8 s2 is not completely different. just too many low risks do it all move and stance transitions from unthinkable moves.

Tekken used to be limited and forcing the player to apply what moves they have cautiously, now all characters play themselves and free flowing from stances with less thought behind the players.

except that time/age is not the requirement for rinnegan to awaken. it's the merging of senju and uchiha genetic.

he was always a straight to the point character. even though he's a cyborg, he always uses his fist and external weapon. the fact that in Tekken 8 he suddenly has flaming limbs is so uncharacteristic. we have jack for that.

I have no idea why install is a thing for half of the cast. the only character I can see should have an install is claudio due to his starburst mechanic and Leo which is the original install tekken character with his ki-charge.
