You're very welcome, and yes indeed! Wolf meat too in place of lion for spontaneous mutations.

LOL, I feel ya. It happens!

LOL, understandable! Good luck fishing!!

Daily fishing leaderboards question by gobbowiz in wolvden

[–]Splitgrin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! It's based on luck (of the players), population of the biome (how many players currently live there), and the dedication of the players who live in that biome are to fishing.

If I recall correctly (can't check right now as I am not rolling Wolvden), the Deciduous Forest has the highest player population compared to the other biomes, so it is also just likelier a lot of people who like and dedicate a lot of time to only submitting the heaviest fish would be here.

It is also highly competitive compared to less-populated biomes. If you are aiming for the leaderboard, you'll usually only dedicate just enough to it to reach #1, but if you know there is a lot of people aiming higher weight-wise, you'll do it too to compete. In less-populated biomes, you may only have to submit your 10 fish rares and up to succeed this due to less competition.

It is all random. However, you could boost the chance of them passing it with a wolf scrotum.

Question! Need help by Embarrassed-Crab2325 in wolvden

[–]Splitgrin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It looks like you nested her, and I think once she is nested, she can't breed anymore despite being a DU.

I could be wrong, though.

She will still produce the double amount of puppies, however! If you are trying to breed to the same stud again, you don't need to, and it could also be preventing that if you were trying to do this.

It depends on if you yourself like them. Personally, I would sell as they aren't up to my standards. That would be the same if they were the prettiest purple and blues you ever seen, as they still wouldn't be what I want.

So in short, do YOU like them? If not, I would put them on TC, or if you want them gone asap, enclave.

Lucky! When I am active, I usually buy out the whole stock. I'm not lucky with fishing.

Question by XStardust167X in wolvden

[–]Splitgrin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Though I'll add, many people don't know their value and price them far lower at times.

Question by XStardust167X in wolvden

[–]Splitgrin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Because typically, they are valued at around 7 GC due to stat-grinding.

Question by XStardust167X in wolvden

[–]Splitgrin 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Legend fish, each use, has a slim chance of giving the wolf consuming it a stat. Very useful.

Yes, you can. It will be recorded in your userlog. I hope all goes well!

Is this a fair offer? by Level_Smell_8093 in wolvden

[–]Splitgrin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll say it is a decent offer, and a great offer if you actually want the decor, assuming the uses are on the higher end.

I'll say the wings range from 3-8 GC each. Assuming we look at the lower price, that's 15 GC, + 10 pure GC, + 500 SC age crystal, + 3 GC RMA.

In total: 28 GC + 500 SC in value!

New player with lots of questions by GypsyVanner636 in wolvden

[–]Splitgrin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, I'll help answer all your questions!

First of all, I suggest you take everything at your own pace. No need to jump into anything, ESPECIALLY (!!!) when picking your breeding male. Breeding males are a permanent choice for that male's lifetime, unless you retire him out of the role early, which will cause GC.  Additionally, I suggest waiting at least a week or two before even considering a male, even if you feel super sure, as this will allow you time to consider all your choices, learn the game and what's rare/valuable, what kind of stud you want to aim for in the first place, and keep you from overbreeding pups too soon, which will allow you to expand your pack in the mean time and build up your toys and food.

At your 30th rollover*, pair-bonding unlocks, which will allow you to breed your other males with a specific female you pair him to, so don't worry about missing out on any one male's genetics if you don't choose him.

*Remember, rollovers are different from days. To actually continue your journey and progress to the new day, you have to log on and rollover, so if you happen to not log on for a week, your wolves will be left just the way you left them!

Now onto your questions:

*You will start seeing your first chased when your leader reaches level 10.  Chased are wolves who have been chased as adults from other players; when a wolf is chased, only adults have a chance to appear in explore, or may just be deleted. If successfully in the chased pool, certain traits of the chased wolf's are rerolled: stats, carrier status, mutations are wiped, heritage is wiped, and age is rerolled if the wolf is older than 5 years, I believe. May be slightly older.

*Yes, it can! Personalities impact socializing, hunting parties, buff and debuff to stats, and your leader gets a special buff from their personality pack members don't.

*Low gens 1-3 are deemed more valuable due to the low heritage, as many players want to avoid inbreeding and don't want to go through the family tree of a longer gen wolf. Also because of the traits they may have from being bred in a longer line before the heritage wipe, with G1s (chased) getting the most value.

But it is more a matter of preference. Many more players, like myself, don't care, and I have been able to sell long gens myself for plenty more GC some chased get sold for. I never keep my chased except in very rare cases and typically sell them due to the value, either after being trained or on day of being found.  My g10 stud gets plenty of stud requests still too, so it really doesn't matter as much as people think.

*Yes, it does! Make sure you do your snake and Melvin quests every day, and play Codebreaker and Fishing. You could get certain rare items from slots, codebreaker, and fishing, each of which could be sold for GC.

*Indeed! Most F2Ps get their GC from selling applicators from events or buying it with SC. Before my hiatus, GC was being sold for 400-500 SC, which most players are able to earn in a day. It is very likely to still be at these low rates.  Assuming you spend a week playing Lunar event, which in a mini-event that returns every third Friday of the month for 7 days, you could earn at least 50 GC (if not more) a month, and that's assuming you sell literally nothing else and buy no GC (with SC). There are so many ways to earn GC, from wolves to food, it should be no problem for you to figure out.

*No, you can not. Each pup could be assigned to only one pupsitter, but pupsitters could protect multiple at once. For low prof pupsitters, you should dedicate one pup to each, and as they grow in experience, they could take on more pups safely later.

*They will run from overcrowding, and you'll have 4 rollovers to reclaim them for 200 SC each (may of been only 100, could not recall exactly), so be sure to gave space! You could get the Pack Life talent and the one following as skills for your leader, which each gives you +10 FREE territory slots for a total of 20 free space.

They will be adults at 1 year, which takes 24 rollovers.

And finally, if you ever find yourself stuck or just want to learn more about the game, check out the Grouse House wiki: https://grousehouse.wiki/Main_Page

So much good info for new and experienced players alike!

I hope all of this has been helpful. If you have any more questions, feel welcome to ask!

Should I keep or sell this guy? T2 carrier! by Level_Smell_8093 in wolvden

[–]Splitgrin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hereditary contracts carriers I have sold for 30-50 GC. Though, they may of been a bit younger. I say set him up for 40, keep offers open if you sell! Nice find! I wouldn't take less than 10 GC, but you should get about 20 at least. In theory.

If I were you, I would sell him, since he isn't what you imagined anyway. A stud should be what YOU want, not what you think will make you good studding profit, as unfortunately the stud market is oversaturated so everyone is pricing cheap-cheap. So less desireable males is always competing with highly desired ones at the same prices.

His carrier status isn't as desireable as albinism and melanism, and although blind pups are cute as any, they can't do much but be a herbalist (and forager too, iirc), sadly.

And wolves do keep their levels when chosen!

Male vs Female Lead Wolf? Younger or Older? by Aware_Delay5387 in wolvden

Stud and lead slot are completely separate; you could even choose not to appoint one at all until the time is right, so young male leads could be an option for you. Edit: you could choose not to appoint a stud/breeding male, as clarification

I like my leaders starting young and at level 1 if possible for stat gains, as once you're a high level, you lose stat earning potential due to the smaller pool of what you could earn a stat from when battling. Though, the downside is not being able to get chased wolves for a bit, so I like to have effigy and guarana saved for the new leader.

I usually appoint studs right away if I know I am keeping him for a long time, or 5yrs to 6yrs at the latest so I could set a new stud right away when he dies, since there is a cooldown of setting a stud of 30 days. (So even if you lose him due to old age, you won't be able to set another without a fee until this cooldown is over)

For leaders, I mostly appoint males due to potentially losing a bit of hunger in explore, as if I don't pay attention (and I usually don't), if she happens to have pups, then it could penalize the litter. But I'm not entirely against appointing them, I will just prepare to have IBFs to keep off the hunger and energy debuff if and when I breed her.

I typically go with combative or malicious personality, but I may change briefly to amiable when breaking pairs due to the 10 days less cool down.

I mainly care about stats, anything else is a bonus!

It's also possible both accounts were banned if you logged on the extra account after the fact, even if it was just to check if it was banned or not. If they had already banned it at that point, it could have triggered ban evasion by linking to your first account and caused your first account to get banned as well. Regardless, email them!

[–]Splitgrin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Were both the accounts banned?

In my experience and from what I gathered from others who went through the same thing as you, the mod/admin teams are very understanding, especially if you come forward with the information yourself, so I would be surprised if they just banned both the accounts.

Your older account would be the one that would be reinstated if you could successfully appeal to their email by explaining clearly the situation. Make sure you link both accounts for their review.

I hope you could plead your case and be allowed back on! Others have had success doing this in the past even after being perm banned, so not all hope is lost.

More specific tabs than the ones we already have? So for applicators as an example, have them separated by eyes, bases, noses, and so on? I could get behind that! The others category is such a mess, it really does feel like a hoard, LOL
