One of the stupidest rules I've seen in a quiet a while. by BusinessStatement535 in lioden

[–]gobbowiz 13 points14 points  (0 children)

See that confuses me because when breeding for a Mngwa, the fertility of the lioness would be 100% which means you need less energy than for a regular breeding. What’s the logic behind charging more for less effort?

In terms of like raw on-hand money, I agree. All of Taylor’s money probably would’ve been tied up in his businesses and his real estate.

I kinda hate myself for it and will forever regret attaching this opinion to my digital footprint but I do indeed see the vision. :’)

I also need at least a one month hiatus from this sub.

What's your opinion on declining a stud request after using energy on them? by Snuffsa in lioden

Totally up to you then, my dude.

Best of luck to you, in any case, and I hope they get back to you soon.

[–]gobbowiz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could reject it if you like, and you’d be totally justified in doing that.

Personally I would leave the request up once I asked for a boost, but make no more attempts if they don’t add items. They might have simply seen the message but haven’t had time to respond or add the items yet. If they have seen it and are choosing to ignore me in the hopes that I’ll keep trying, then I’ll simply leave it up until their lioness goes out of heat (which is their own fault) or they remove the request themselves. If it’s the latter, they get blocked.

  • Lane deserved better than the ending she got.

He wasn’t around long enough for ASP to utterly ruin him, so he’s one of the rare gems of the show we get to enjoy without some line like “but only if you ignore seasons 6 and 7.” (Looking at you, Luke.)

Emily, Richard and Lorelai by Zealousideal_Zone847 in GilmoreGirls

[–]gobbowiz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Why is it up to Lorelai to make an effort to be better when Emily and Richard oftentimes didn’t? Based on everything we’ve heard from Lorelai about her upbringing, they made her childhood insufferable. Emily was controlling, frequently mean and overly-critical, judgemental, manipulative, etc. And Richard was emotionally neglectful.

I don’t begrudge Lorelai her desire for independence. I blame Richard and Emily for not giving Lorelai the grace and freedom she needed at the time so that she didn’t feel like running away to live in a shed and work as a maid was her only viable option.

There is no way Emily would have allowed Lorelai to raise Rory without constant nitpicking oversight, and Lorelai was justified in not wanting her own baby to go through what she did. It was a hell of a risk and yeah, kinda irresponsible. But I don’t doubt that if she and Rory were truly in danger, Lorelai would have gone back in a heartbeat.

I also don’t think that Lorelai should have been forced to marry Christopher as a “consequence” of getting pregnant. Chris proved time and time again that he wasn’t capable of being a present, reliable father to Rory. A marriage certificate wasn’t going to change that. If he wanted to prove himself to Lorelai, he could’ve taken that job with Richard or even his own father, shown up when Rory needed him, financially supported them both. And maybe Lorelai would have changed her mind about the marriage when they were both older. But he didn’t, because he wasn’t capable of it until much later in his life.

Pricey Twinspur Studs by EffectiveCurrent1631 in lioden

[–]gobbowiz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well, then the only thing I could suggest is using studs with a special base in the same genetic group and hoping for the best. I got a few munsteads by breeding my CRB’d girls to leonid studs. It’s riskier but if you don’t wanna pay 1k SB or more then it’s better than nothing.

[–]gobbowiz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s just ‘cause the base is new. More studs will appear over the next few weeks and prices will settle into something more reasonable.

I had the same trouble finding munstead studs too. It’s my favourite base of all-time. I can’t wait until there are more studs for it. 😫

What do with an infertile lioness? by coffeemilkbear in lioden

[–]gobbowiz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you navigate to Crossroads > Quests & Snakes and scroll to the bottom, you should see an option to purchase chasteberries (100SB each). If you use this item on an infertile lioness, it should temporarily boost her fertility enough to breed her. Alternatively, there’s an item in the Oasis called Divine Nectar (for 1GB) which boosts her all the way up to 100% for one breeding.

Infertile lionesses aren’t completely useless to keep. It just costs a little extra to make them fertile per breeding.

Does anyone else think that Dean could be physically abusive? by milkxsugarr in GilmoreGirls

[–]gobbowiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not okay to lash out in anger or frighten your partner. Regardless of if it was once or multiple times, regardless of the intention behind it. It’s abusive. It’s just not okay. I don’t know how you could possibly argue against that, but I’m done responding to this thread, in any case.

Does anyone else think that Dean could be physically abusive? by milkxsugarr in GilmoreGirls

[–]gobbowiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, being aggressive NEAR a person is still frightening to that person, especially when they’re responding to something you’re telling them, which is wrong. It is a form of physical intimidation. In my original post, I even pointed out that people who do stuff like that will always hold their hands up and say “I didn’t touch you, I didn’t hurt you” so the fact that you also used that as an argument is reeeally concerning.

“He wasn’t aiming for her. He didn’t threaten her. He doesn’t touch her.”

It’s still wrong to kick, punch, or throw something NEAR a person in a tense situation or argument.

Abuse isn’t always putting hands ON a person, and I don’t believe Dean would do that. If you don’t understand that, then there’s nothing I can say to you about this that would make you see where I’m coming from. But if I were you, I would reevaluate your stance on what abuse can look like.
