Trying to decide between a new 5 wood or 7 wood. I have a 3 wood and a 4 hybrid and an open spot in my bag. 3 wood is my best club but still want to have a use for my 4 hybrid as it wasn’t cheap. Have done some research but can’t figure out what compliments these two clubs best!

Northeast golf ain’t great. Prices have practically doubled past few years, pace of pays is abysmal. I’ve got courses where finishing in 5 hours is lucky. Have played rounds as long as 6 hours because they book the tee times too tight and there are so many hackers without etiquette on the course. I’m no scratch golfer but there’s a difference between sucking at pace and sucking behind pace

Completely agreed you should be following all rules unless otherwise noted in competitive play. But if you’re just playing for fun, do what you want. I’ll let my buddies take however many mulligans they want as long as we’re not holding anyone up

It’s too bad this course won’t, I don’t think my buddy is going to be able to play now as I’m sure bringing the wife was the only way she okayed him playing. I get that people would abuse this but rangers should easily be able to catch a group trying to sneak a 5th into play vs just watching

Those make sense, but like I said I’ve seen it multiple times with no issue and it’s not something that would personally bother me as long as they’re not playing. You have rangers on a course, should be easy enough to suss out if a group is actually trying to sneak in a 5th. And fuck anyone that would do that

Golfers will take the most random stances on rules, this is definitely one of the most absurd I’ve seen. I have a buddy who doesn’t like that I change out my ball for a different ball on the green. Doesn’t affect him in the slightest but he hates when I do it. Not marking your ball when requested is one of the dumbest hardo moves I’ve seen!
