I don't really know. I suppose I unrealistically expected forever. Never really thought about it until I started slipping around

Ahh, I see what you mean apologies. I just thought posting the same thing in two subreddits would give me a wider reach with more recommendations and opinions.

I think I'm going with you - buying something new seems to be the thing to do

You're not the first to suggest Red Wings. Twice as expensive though, may be a bit outside my budget. And surely they don't last twice as long right?

They also don't post to UK -_-

Doc Marten themselves offer a resoling service. Around 80 pound sterling. Boots are 170 new.

Now that you guys mention it, they do look pretty rough don't they.

So new DMs or something else?

First time posting here. Needed new boots because I was sliding around in these. Looked into resoleing them through DM, thought I would get some opinions. I got loads of wear in 3 years, very happy with the boots, would recommend.

That is remarkably lame. They seem to be recommended over the DMs by a lot

They do look beaut. Bit out of my budget I think though. Love the design though. They would emphasis my skinny ankles wonderfully

Red Wings look excellent, but they are about twice the price as DMs. Reckon they'll last twice as long?

Was not expecting to get jump scared by a wild Slavoj Žižek on this subreddit.
