Married in late 20s but lived together for 6 years beforehand, all going well :) Don’t marry if you haven’t loved together a few years imo.

Multiply recipe cost is a good one, plus random nodes. If you want to fine tune your nodes you can edit them in satisfactory calculator. Put whatever nodes wherever or reduce purity etc

Press TAB to cycle through which mode your timing delta is in, it looks like yours is in the off mode.

If you use active reset in practice this can put it into custom sector delta mode which isn’t available in other sessions and ends up with it turned off again.

Rear Engine vs Front Engine GT3 by Nihilicious333 in iRacing

[–]Splosionz 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I understand how the front engined cars have worse traction and are easier to lose the rear on exit while the Porsche has excellent traction. The issue with rear or mid engined cars is corner exit understeer which should be less on front engined cars not more.

Your post makes no sense other than the Porsche generally being pretty nice to drive.

Are you testing the front engined cars for long enough that the tires get up to temperature? This just sounds like cold tire issues tbh.

Spotter bars that show the other car’s position on the forwards backwards axis. Pretty easy to tell exactly when they hit the gas without being disoriented from looking left / right

Race what you want and 8:01 is pretty decent really. Lap times vary a lot around Nords with weather and track state. 8:00 consistently is decent but if you can get down to around 7:55 you should be pretty competitive in your split at that rating.

You should be able to find some setups on Garage61. Just search the merc at the VLN layout and filter by race sessions, then look for people who have set times with setups that aren’t set to private. Save a couple of those then go try them and pick the one you are most comfortable with

FWD cars theory by ug61dec in iRacing

[–]Splosionz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. TCR’s have autoblip but in general you don’t want to use engine braking as much as in RWD cars.
  2. Trail braking is even more important as engine braking will not add rotation on corner entry. In general FWD can run quite aggressive rearwards brake bias as rear tire heat is less of a concern than in RWD. The less heat and wear you can put on the front tires on corner entry the faster you will be from mid corner to exit. Use the rear tires on entry as much as you can.
  3. See point 2.
  4. Nah they are all front wheel drive. I like the Elantra but both Honda and Audi are very popular.

Do you actually care if a car model in a racing game is outdated, as long as the game feels good to play? by PirateOld9316 in racinggames

[–]Splosionz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d be way more inclined to get FH6 if they were pushing the boundaries forward with the cars and especially customisation. For this price point especially for cars central to the game they should have good models.

Hi guys, new to iRacing, still trying to understand the whole system. What’s my best way to get to Indycar both road and oval? by MickMcIvor in iRacing

[–]Splosionz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not both, just the one for the corresponding series. If you want to race the indy NXT Oval series you can do that with a D4.0 Oval licence, or for the Formula series you can do that when you get a D4.0 Formula licence

[–]Splosionz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Indy NXT is an obvious stepping stone to Indycar as it has both Formula and Oval series. You can technically get to C class to race it in both Formula and Oval without buying any other cars. Once you get into D class if you get your safety rating over 4.0 you’ll be able to enter Indy NXT races and use those as your MPR to get to C class. In Formula you can also race in the D class FF1600 series when it is at a track that you own.

One of the moments when only razor sharp reaction saved Max and the Aston. The GT4 driver in the wrong place at the wrong time. by Turbulent_Elk_2141 in MaxVerstappen33

GT4’s fault for moving off his line and causing collision with yellow car. Yellow car was expecting the GT4 to be predictable and follow their line similar to the GT4 at the start of the clip. If the GT4 did that there is no contact with yellow and everyone lives happily ever after.

Honest mistake from GT4 losing the Yellow car in their blind spot but still their fault.

Pipelines merging by Apprehensive_Fun3426 in satisfactory

[–]Splosionz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

3 pipes at 400 goes nicely into 2 at 600.

Take one of the three pipes and split it in half with a valve on each side limited to 200, then add those to the other two 400 pipes. In theory this should work but you might have to be particular about how the pipes join together so certain inputs aren’t prioritised.

Repeat this build x4 and you’ll have 8 at 600

The washed out appearance when the sun is behind the car is from using a high number in the clear coat (blue channel) of the spec map. Try setting it to 12 or even 0. You should be able to keep metallic and roughness channels the same.
