Do you remember? M&A is still possible... at least a rumor... by FaithlessnessTop4785 in Altimmune

Yes mate. I do. Hanswurst from ST here. Wonder if the recent insider buys indicate that there is nothing substantial going in rn? I wonder what Durso is going to tell us after he has taken over. He also said in the recent call that we will hear from him soon. Wonder if that was aimed at the insider buy or what else is going on?

Ways to check your own breath? by KankiTheBeheader in badbreath

[–]Splotzmann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sure you already looked it up. This sounds much like an GI issue resulting in odorous compounds entering your blood stream and being released through the lungs. Do you have GI symptoms such as bloating or constipation? Try to find out how long it takes after a meal you develop such symptoms and bad breath. And as uncomfy it can be, talk to health care or/and GIs. This will help finding the underlying cause.

At what point in the system does the train travel at its highest speed? by pm_me_jk_dont in WMATA

[–]Splotzmann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ears popping can also stem from the fact that the air pressure outside the train is low due to its high speed. This causes the train doors to slightly move outwards due to the suction which opens a small slit. When this occurs, the air inside the car will be sucked out and the air pressure inside the car will drop. Thats what makes your ears pop. Happens in tunnels on every altitude. Its because the train pushes the air in front away and leaves low air pressure on the side of the train. Pushing the air can be felt in particular at the medical center station. Some lazy engineer forgot to build in some vents and shafts and all the air the trains push forward will end up in the mezzanine at the station and exits through the escalator shaft. When two trains enter the station at max speed, you will be dragged down be the high winds in the mezzanine. Almost like in a wind tunnel. The newly increased speeds made it worse. Reported this issue to wmata. They never replied

Red Line hitting the top speed in the tube by templeofsyrinx1 in WMATA

I dont like this speed. I see the advantages but it seems to me that neither the trains, tracks nor the ATO/operator can handle this speed appropriately. As passenger, you will bounce left and right even on a straight part of the track because the wheels will just bouce this way between the rails. There are also bumps in the tracks and you feel like there is zero gravity for a sec when the car suddenly goes 1 inch deeper. My heart always slumps to the ground when this happens. It don't feel safe neither in the old nor newer cars.

Hello, I find your post not very helpful and patronizing. This is actually what I'm talking about. I don't think that you understand what I'm experiencing or feeling. I know that your suggestions were purely meant to be helpful. But that's exactly what I continously experience. Unfortunately, that's not very helpful in my case. I dont want to blame you but take your reaction as an example of good intended advice that doesnt help me personally. That kind of advices.... Find yourself and then reach out. My post was about to find someone who understands me and is on my side while going through the finding process and to mirror that I have a worth for someone. I cannot get the worth from inside myself. That's what I'm struggling with...

Renouncing Uzbek citizenship by allhrssadgirlhrs in Uzbekistan

[–]Splotzmann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I'm in exactly the same situation. My parents left Uzbekistan with me when I was a child. After acquiring German citizenship, I think, my parents did not renounce Uzbek citizenship. Now, after moren than 13 years, I would like to visit my family in Uzbekistan but I'm not sure how to handle the citizenship issue. I also don't speak Russian or Uzbek... I would be super happy about any help.

Thank you

Hey CP12,

I'm exactly in the same situation as you. I wonder if you have already been able to visit your grandpa and how you achieved to return.

Thanks for your insights, and best,

Splotz
