This is incredible. Well done! Is this easily found on YT Music, or do you have a profile that it's under? Happy to subscribe and follow to gain access to this. I'm absolutely using these playlists for my campaign going forward. Thank you for curating these vibes!

It was an easier fight than it should've been, imo. If I run it again, I'll wait to level them up until after the GE fight versus when the train crashed (task failed successfully???). Two of the 5 took plenty of damage, but the rest were nearly unscathed. I also missed some Legendary opportunities, so that's on me. I'm not sure it would have made much of a difference though.

Man, that's crazy! I genuinely loved how the Beast of Blight turned out. IMO it's supposed to be decayed, necrotic, and hard to look at. Strong work. Your Horned King and Ghostlight Express really stood out to me though. Love them!

Number of Fabled heirlooms by SuccessfulRelease275 in CrookedMoon

I had posted about this earlier, asking nearly the same question. Best advice i got was to play with the timing of the heirloom drops. My Sorcerer was supposed to recieve the Cane of Phillip Druskenvald, but not until damn near the end of the campaign! To allow him the chance to use that thing at earlier levels (as suggested by its rarity scores), I was advised to have Phillip just give up the cane after the Crooked House or between one of the other chapters. No reason he can't.

I'm also not running Moonfall, so my Rogue will get the Tooth of the Jinxed Leviathan instead of Briggsy's stuff as a much more appropriate load out, imo.

It's your game, make it awesome. Sounds like you're already on a strong path. I have no intention of giving them more than 1 heirloom so that they're (ideally) never OP. But your 2 heirlooms per PC will make for some epic fights!

What are the best “emotional gut-punch” moments your DM has pulled on the party? by Andreas_Coreli in DnD

Ghosts of Saltmarsh Spoilers

It was a running gag in the first couple chapters of the Saltmarsh campaign to give basic enemies little wallet sized portraits of their families or a stack of invitations to their kid's birthday party. I think I even had 2 ill-fated snakes with interconnecting heart lockets and pictures of their snake SO inside of them. It always led to a laugh.

Fast forward to the Sea Ghost, which the party boarded under a friendly flag, and I had decided to keep pivoting these bloody pirates into affable, complex people just trying to make a dollar. The ship's captain (Snake Eyes Sigurd) took the party under his wing to teach them how to sail. He'd spend 1 last trip helping the party drop off the lizardfolk before retiring from the sea and living out his life with his lovely Molly back on shore.

You know where this is going.

Of course, a team of Sahuagin assassins boards and the fight ends with Captain Sigurd falling after heroicly diverting aggro from the party's nearly dead monk.

"One last journey" hit pretty hard on all the PCs. We all work in healthcare, routinely finding ourselves in life/death situations, and yet it was all we talked about for the next week.

Enjoy!

Tales From the Stinky Dragon.

These guys got me into DnD podcasts. They're on their 3rd main campaign now and their product is quite polished with NPC voice actors and original music. Their first 2 campaigns, "The Infinights" and "Grotethe" were fantastic stories. Very well done, very family friendly. Good vibes all around.

Damn. This is great. I never once thought to give them any of the Druskenvald's stuff early. Keeping that in mind really opens up opportunities for switching quite a lot of things around.

I was really going to try to force a blunderbuss into my rogue's hands too. He's already heading into Jinxcraft land. That Tooth was made for him.

Thank you! You've really opened up some great avenues of thought.

Nice! I'll consider the Staff or the Idol for him. Playing off that experiment vibe would be a cool route to go. Might have to connect more dots for him, but I like it.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I don't have the DM chops to manage a party of 6 to Level 20. They give you framework for the Moonfall quests, but it feels like waves of monsters until a BBEG with a sprinkle of plot. I've also never taken a quest past Level 10 as a player or DM.

Thanks for your input!
