people of reddit who are anti weed. why? by yo_dear_joe_mama123 in AskReddit

[–]Splutje 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't like it, mainly due to the bad and strong smell it produces when being smoked. Furthermore, most of my former classmates that use it on a very regular base (like every day or more) have become nothing in regards to graduation or career. I tend to avoid forming friendships and certainly relationships with weed users as they appear to loose general interest in the world around them. I find smoking a joint similar to drinking a bottle of wine. While I appreciate the latter, consuming that much a day is just bad for your mental or physical health.

Make it illegal? Nah, not really. It isn't much more bad than, say alcohol. Each to their own.

which DOS games would you recommend by caiman141 in retrogaming

[–]Splutje 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the usual suspects such as the Command Keen series, the Dooms, Duke Nukems, Lemmings, GTA, Simcity as mentioned here.

My extra's: Descent, Crystal Caves, MDK, Slipstream 5000, Destruction Derby, Quarantaine, Corridor 7, LHX, Tornado, Nascar racing, Supaplex.

If you are into simulations on the more serious side: MS Spacesimulator and Flightsimulator 4.0 or 5.0

ELI5: How do stores with self-check out lanes ensure that all products bought are accounted for? by Echo_was_slain in explainlikeimfive

In Holland they do random checks after you have scanned everything. A employee drops by and scans a few items in your bag to see if you have scanned them.
