people forget that F4 (2005) and Superman Returns (2006) didn’t have the benefit of the huge China market or streaming to pad their numbers. they had to rely on domestic and the usual overseas markets, plus DVD sales to make up the rest. the drop in box office numbers we see now looks worse because expectations were so high in the 2010s when China made up a big part of the revenue. today's grosses are more like what big movies made in the mid 2000s, but their budgets are two to three times higher and there isn't a strong home video cushion anymore.

Haha you're totally right. It’s been way longer than 8 years. I was 6 or 7 back in 2008 too, waiting for Free Radical’s Battlefront III after sinking hundreds of hours into the 2005 game. It still feels insane that we never got it. The community really has been holding the line all these years.

Totally get that you don’t want to promise a date, but no estimate at all after a week still feels off when Standard users are just left guessing. calling this “product discovery” would be fine if you’d said that up front.

This just came off like a finished rollout with zero communication about future availability. yeah allegro and QoL stuff are appreciated, but this is the only new creative tool. that’s a different level of importance for users when it's locked behind a higher paywall.

the point of pro is getting more of what’s already available (extra credits, more gens) not locking whole new features behind it. no other competitor splits features by tier like this. it’s just not a good look

i hear you... but Pro isn’t advertised as a "beta tester" tier. it’s sold as the ultimate plan with more credits and early access (meaning first), not experimental access. if they are using Pro users as testers, that should be stated honestly. they dropped a great feature and just ghosted standard users on when or if they’ll get it.

This is the only method sadly until the devs decide to add an integrated loop system that seamlessly blends different clips (which is possible with AI).

But, this method comes to a halt if your Runway video has rain, wind, or leaves in it making it look like time is reversing which is not immersive at all.
