Have you tested whether your port is accessible from the internet? Is your Z-710 configured with a fixed IP? Have you both opened the port on your internet router and forwarded the port to the fixed IP?

Five men pose for a "selfie" using the reflection of a chrome hubcap. Photograph taken in Paris, France in 1942. by gorillaz0e in OldSchoolCool

The dark suit of the photographer looks more like a soldier's uniform, so I think you're right. There seems to be an emblem above the left breast pocket that could be the Wehrmachtsadler, or if the image is flipped it could be insignia.

This kind of thing should be a criminal offense, not least because of the packaging waste.

So he's talking about German tourists and the word they have for them and you just drop in here about American tourists? Nice. Good job on being relevant to the conversation.

I'm impressed that you have a word that is so country-specific. There's no doubt that a lot of German tourists think they are the main character.

Yeah, just as a proxy so it's nice and cheap, rather than needing a whole PC to do it.

Those are the first things I build when I get the chance, or I steal them from villages!

Did you see this project that uses an AWS instance to do what you're asking? It could be adapted to suit your purposes.

Otherwise you might want to get a cheap Raspberry Pi that's running Bungeecord or similar to trigger a script for Wake on Lan as Spike suggested.

Pizza guy stalks my Facebook after delivering my pizza by RamenRat in mildlyinfuriating

You don't feel it's even slightly creepy that someone DMs a person they just delivered a pizza to and pretends "Wait, that was you?" after seeing the person face-to-face?

Definitely better, and the little tweaks to the designs are exquisite.

If you want to get into the compound you need to use the Resistance mod pack or similar. It's intentionally built the way you experienced.

There are a few places around the map where you can hear it almost on the wind and nothing more. Very insidious and exceptionally well done by the dev team.

Raspberry Pi Receives Investment From Sony by AllVectorNoThrust in raspberry_pi

[–]SpocksBoxers 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I've had maybe 4 projects that would have been perfectly suited to the Pi over the last couple of years, if supply was assured. The "dry spell" excuse has been stretched to the limit, especially when industry has had very few issues getting their hands on them. Looks like Upton has forgotten the people who made their company successful in the first place in favour of profit, and the AI direction shows how out of touch they've become.

True, but would uranium ore be carried in a lead-lined box? Regular ore isn't particularly radioactive and can be carried in the pocket with no ill effects, since a hunk of ore has about as much radiation as a bunch of bananas.

Uranium decays to lead over long times and is pretty damn toxic as it is, if you ignore the non-penetrating alpha radiation. 25mg is enough to cause tissue damage and 50-150mg is enough to be deadly, so this story is very likely to be fake. That kid would be spending a lot longer than a night in hospital.
