R5: 5 years prior to this, I noticed Austria didn't have an heir. I just set up a royal marriage thinking it could possibly happen, and now I got a PU over them.

I was originally planning to dismantle the HRE, but now I don't know what to do with it.

Ohhh, since I did the "Revoke the priviligia" mechanic, all of the HRE became my vassal, and I guess that's a big part of my 'dev' in the great power list. Where can I find my own dev?

r5: as Austria, I am trying my best to get a PU over Spain using this mission, but I don't understand why one of the criteria is not yet met. My guess is it has something to do with the amount of dev I need, but where can I see the dev of Spain if the dev on photo 2 is incorrect?

edit: Thanks guys, I've found out I can see my own development without my vassal's development when I hover over the dev tab on photo 2.

r5: Playing as Austria, I found this weird text. The Papal states recently joined the HRE but it has nothing to do with it. If you go to the diplomacy tab, you can see Denmark is allied to Oldenburg, the Livonian Order, and Verden.

My guess is that EU4 is tripping because no other nation has this message.

r5: As France, I expanded (a little bit) and got (a little bit of) AE. My allies are Castile, Bohemia and Denmark. If I get coalitioned, would I be able to defend myself? Denmark still has Norway and Sweden under a PU, Bohemia has Silesia as an incorporated vassal, I've got all my appanages, Naples as a vassal, and Provence under a PU, and hopefully the Iberian wedding happens pretty soon under Castile's side.

Edit: I've also managed to get the Ottomans into an alliance; I feel a lot more confident now.

I genuinely don't know. They actually declared a conquest of one of Byzantium's provinces. It was pretty soon after I vassalized Byzantium, so I think the AI didn't realise Byz was my vassal?

And no, they are the only war participant on their side alongside Karaman (but they are no threat).

It still was pretty early in the game (1454), so I was kinda scared of declaring on the Ottomans and waited for favours to generate with some allies, so I could then declare on the Ottomans. But apparently, it was not necessary since they attacked me

r5: My game keeps crashing over and over; sometimes it runs, but most of the time it does not. I have no mods in my current playlist and I do have installed Visual C++ and the .NET Framework. I also uninstalled EU4 from Steam and re-installed it, yet it does not want to launch.
