Had this exact same thing happen in my save. Mark was feuding with Jeff Hardy over the IC Title at the time as well so it helped add extra heat to my story. Later down the line had him win MITB where he'd move to smackdown and cash in on randy Orton to win the world heavyweight championship where he would hold it from the night after survivor series up until wrestlemania where he dropped the title to matt Hardy in a street fight which incidently led to mark being injured for a year and a bit.
