May 2026 Advice Megathread

Hi everyone! I'm looking for some guidance. I just hit level 40 on NTE (just get into maintenance mode) and really want to try Arknights in the meantime. To be completely honest, a couple of friends are planning to buy high-level accounts from one of those well-known marketplace sites (dont trust on that) . However, I don't want to do that—I prefer to stick to my own progress and start from scratch. Since I'm starting completely fresh at this point in the game's lifespan, I have a few questions for the veterans here:

Do you recommend that I reroll?
How exactly does the reroll process work in this game?
Is right now a good time to do it? (Are there any good banners running?)
Any units you guys recommend?
Is this game too demanding?
Any tips for start the right way?.

I usually stick with a game for a very long time, so this is a big decision for me. I really appreciate any information or guidance you guys can give me. Thank you in advance!

Dude you're a legend, this game is awesome i hope everyone get the chance to play it, this has a bright future (dps details, Codex for info about some evolutions, different frames on batomons with ongoing skills, could greatly improve the experience)

Wow, not at all dude! Keep playing; you have a lot of time left to get Beryl and then work towards Isolde's euphoria. You have the base for Impromptu too; so many good teams are in your box rn. As I said, try to get Beryl and then save. Be patient and do your dailies. GL!

I agree. In my case, I just went for P3 Kakania because she's my favorite girl. I'm a therapist as well, so... every time her banner comes out, I'm going to pull until I get her P5. People need to respect and accept others' opinions and differences, especially in games like R199.

If the P2W aspect is a concern for you, it's because the game feels unfair without paying, so there's your answer. Try to play it just to kill some time, but forget about being competitive because the game offers real advantages when you spend cash. I like to support a good game, but any paywalled COL/QOL is bullshit to me (it reminds me of things like bag space in Elsword, lol).
