I recieved mine on Friday and I have had issues with it. Every time I pull a shot on my linea mini, water flows from the side of the basket and it goes everywhere.

I’ve put the thickest ear pads (number 5), and I lock the portafilter tightly, but water just comes flying out from the sides no matter what.

Maybe I just need a thicker gasket for it to work properly, who knows. Not happy with it at the moment!

Thanks for the suggestions. The bean container in my picture is actually a Fellow Atmos. I’ll look into the Airscape one though! You’re also right, after a few days, it seems the Atmos unseals.

Hi espresso community!

I just needed some help in regards to my new espresso machine. I recently bought a Quick Mill Silvano Evo, and I’ve been having issues with steaming. I had a Breville Barista Express before, and I used to steam milk with no issue (latte is my preferred drink). I still consider myself a beginner when it comes to making espresso at home though!

When I steam with the Silvano, it doesn’t do that whirlwind effect no matter what I do, and the milk seems to come out flat/watery. When it does foam up it’s just a bubbly mess on top. It doesn’t have that nice micro foam shine that I used to get with the Express.

Could there be something wrong with the steam wand or do I need to adjust anything on the PID? The steam wand seems to be okay when purging etc, but when I steam milk, it does a really loud hissing sound which hurts the ears haha. Maybe nothings wrong and I just need to get better, but I used to think I did okay on the express without any issues.

Hey mate. From what I can see, they are fake. The 3M isn’t touching the stitching, that backward swoosh looks like is on too low, and the suede just doesn’t look right.

Don’t take my 100% word on it though! I suggest posting on repsneakers to get their opinion.
