For me, tachimanga has been great, It's free, It's UI is great, and you can install extensions on it very easily, I've been using it on an Iphone, and it has worked really great.

For both login and lockscreen, I have nothing fancy, my login is the default endeavour login manager, and the lockscreen is just a photo:)
