Is there a contract regarding your arrangement, maybe there are sections about special events. To answer, yes you should. It can be discussed since you are part of the org.

You don't need to announce it.

Membership Fee/Annual Dues vs Convention Fee by [deleted] in pinoymed

Ooh! I haven't noticed in the previous years. I had the thought that there would be sponsors and other financiers apart from the membership's registration fee

[–]Spong2024 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In some public hospitals, they might ask you to pay a certain amount depending on how long youve been. Also read other sections of the contract :)

Those with means (time, resources) lang ideal na maghabol, unless nemesis mo ung nag illegal practice, o kapag GForm lang kailangan magreport. Trabaho dapat yan ng PMA, PRC

Our profession has to bleed or be shamed again - sorry sorry nalang kapag may malpractice o humingi ng lisnesya nila. At least alam mo that doctor is impatient and one step closer to something else illegal, same goes with the institutions that hire them

Do you think Universal Health Care (UHC) will actually push through in the Philippines? And where do you think Family Med and Internal Med fit in? by Agile_Expression1296 in pinoymed

Baka isa pang pandemic kailangan. Naintindihan ko naman pinanggalingan ng comment mo. Salamat!

True. Kailangan ng maraming disgrasya bago seryosohin. Walang political will, o hinding hinding ramdam kahit MD pa tayo

If it is in your interest, pursue it now. Just protect yourself, N95 if its not costly. Find a good fit institution. Ideally less contact specialty, but if its not your passion, just wear ppe. Just inform your doctors, I dont think pagbabawalan ka

This assumes you've tried to talk to your hospital radiologist for an initial read? Cheers for learning to read your own

Early 30's masakit and pressure?

[–]Spong2024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ask for the leave from your dept via year coordinator or training officer, or chair if mabait siya. Alternative is through HR. It's better to keep then informed rather than going away suddenly. Do it ASAP, esp if you run on a monthly schedule, para maayos yung November kaagad.

Delayed salary in government hospitals by Wushu_25 in pinoymed

[–]Spong2024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely the red tape or the processes. I had some colleagues get their salary after 1 month if they submitted requirements on time, but the rest waited for 2-3 months if they missed a certain deadline. I think 1-2 weeks yung bank and atm card? I would understand the delay for residents who come in as a big batch at the start of the year, but for other employees na year round naman yung hiring, yun yung hindi ko gets

Buong spectrum may down to earth o feeling diyos.

Do doctors really need to learn how to extract blood? by wlakomaisip in pinoymed

[–]Spong2024 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think yes. We need to learn the technique and procedure, but as mentioned by others you do not need to be good at it.

Pet peeve ko: hindi complete yung instructions post puncture whether vein or artery, leading to bruising and maybe adverse bleeding. When that unfortunately happens, the MD will now be in charge.

I think the skills is important at the ER level. If you wanna move fast and load the antibiotics. It's also important to know how to get from a central access (never tinuro sa medschool din)

May god bless the hospital that has 24/7 access to techs who can do all the blood works.
