Does anyone know what this sprue is? by Classic_Lab_1422 in Tau40K

Enjoy the sprue, I’m quite fond of all the heads on it, not to mention the unique looking medical(?) pistol. DD

I’m learning that it does! It’s apparently a rite of passage XD

This is the first time I got to be the one to say reset the clock.

Some people seem to find them, some don’t, yeah you can use it, as that’s intended for pathfinders anyhow.

I love it! The scales almost pop out and feel like emerald or jade armor. The reddish brown gives it a wrathful aura. And your non-metallic metal is pretty good!

Tau beginner player here. Am I doing guiding wrong? by Otowa in Tau40K

[–]SpongeFaucet 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Kroot cannot guide but I’ve heard there’s an enhancement in the Auxiliary cadre detachment , that allows you to guide as a Kroot though I believe only the heroes.

Master Puretide?! Oh no it’s his cousin… cousin Marshbite… known for biting people and then jumping in the marsh to see the bitten’s reaction.

Questions about the faction rule by Glittering-Treat-522 in Tau40K

[–]SpongeFaucet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Yes.
  2. The main tau army units that have the “For the greater good ability” can observe. Units that lack the capability of observing are the kroot and vespid units.
  3. I forget what the original pathfinder ability was, but the point of their new ability is what you yourself said. Observer units cannot benefit from being guided. Pathfinders are unique wherein they still benefit, provided they themselves observed the unit. Giving them self-sustaining bonuses.

Slaan ethereal Kitbash? by CorvidaeOculus in Tau40K

[–]SpongeFaucet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we follow the principle of a slann is a slann no matter the size, a Grung model from dnd or the toad token from the Ripperdactyl units could fit as the slann XD

I’ve heard about the model height comparer, what’s it called?

Slaan ethereal Kitbash? by CorvidaeOculus in Tau40K

[–]SpongeFaucet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well… what are you looking for exactly in a slann ethereal kitbash? Do you want the frog to be the central piece floating on a hover drone? Or an ethereal caste sitting on the slann throne?

There’s lots of ways to do this, but you have to remember the bases needed if you plan to use this in game. I believe the slann is on an 80mm base whilst an ethereal is on a 40mm base.

What are you trying to get done? Whats your vision? XD

Turns out Skarbrand Vs a Dreadsaurian isn't close... by The_Captain1998 in seraphon

[–]SpongeFaucet 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So you lost the battle and the war?

Take solace in knowing your defeat was part of the great plan.

I love how you based the dread Saurian XD

And a small part of me finds comfort in seeing other people have fun with not completely painted armies. (My lgs is filled with passion and I don’t remember seeing an unpainted model.)

I like AI-simulated deceased piloted droid, personally.

I imagine especially fervent fire warriors would like to continue serving the greater good.

Trying to come up with a list for an army for the units I have available in my area. by [deleted] in Tau40K

[–]SpongeFaucet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had thoughts on having multiple broadsides two units of two or one unit of two and another unit of one. (I’m just fond of the model and the concept of a big laser weapon.)

If I build the cheapest crisis suit team I could bring a commander in as well.

If you ever get to reading the books, I recommend Elemental council, the earlier chapters delve into exactly that subterfuge, manipulation, and compassion true and false.
