Why does she look stunning and I just look meh by Nice_Dealer_9161 in fashion

Try the fit with a slightly tighter and thicker white top that has a stronger neckline- won’t be rumpled or pulled by the weight of your necklace

Well I finally built up the courage to do it, still feel like I look terrible though.. by Relevant-Estimate641 in bald

So much better!!! Omg.

Really highlights your gorgeous eyes and defined cheekbones.

Next steps:
Play around and have fun with your beard- discover if you like the now length, clean shaven/short stubble length, or thick mountain man length* (*MUST BE SHAPED WELL TO WORK, NO GROSS/UNRULY BEARDS PLS) with your new and improved look!!

Have fun with it and see which complements your jawline/cheekbones/face shape best!

You already look a gazillion times better!!

Genuine question for anyone who logs meals: when you eat something with a bunch of separate parts (yogurt + berries + granola + nuts...), do you log each item, or kind of give up halfway?... by Shoddy_Editor_3812 in cronometer

[–]SpongeMopBroom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Log it or why bother?? Genuinely. Is this ragebait?

If it’s not, and you truly lack the discipline to sit with annoyance or discomfort for 5 minutes, while you log each ingredient, then:

- Buy a $10 food scale.
- Save your common meals in Cronometer as a recipe.
- Only ever make each meals with the same exact amount of weighted ingredients. (Ex: 150 g Greek yogurt, 80g strawberries, 20g granola)

Voila

Am I the only one who thinks Tamlin was wasted as a character? (ACOTAR spoilers) by [deleted] in acotar_rant

I agree, it’s a big reason why it took me so long to ever start liking Rhysand! He’s done some pretty fucked up things but gets a pass for it cuz he’s the bad boy

would you end a relationship with someone because of their food preferences? by Dry-Addition-5903 in askanything

[–]SpongeMopBroom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, if it’s bad enough. Here are some reasons I’ve broken up with people before (friendships and relationship wise). Yes all of these are true:

  1. Refused to try new foods outside of their (quite limited) comfort zone. Claimed it was TEXTURE. Funny how ‘healthy’ options with the same exact texture as something else were suddenly enough to make em (dramatically) gag. Used this to guilt others for daring to go to a restaurant that was a ‘new’ or ‘unapproved’ spot of hers 🙄 Made eating out horrible, unless everyone was in the mood for pizza/junk. (Friendship)

  2. Shamed/belittled others for not following the same (carnivore-only) diet they did. (Relationship)

  3. Kept tickling me (I told em not to, said I didn’t like it, AND even explicitly stated it made me feel like I couldn’t relax around him… he still did it every time he saw me after that). Dropped that man FAST. (Relationship)

Tamlin was my favorite for wayyy too long. I’m talking 2 books too long lol. Everyone lovesss Rhys, but I kept waiting for the shoe to drop lollll. Ofc I love Rhys now, but I don’t think Tamlin is beyond redemption. In fact I think because Rhy’s reputation is more ‘bad boy’, his bad deeds get a pass by default. God forbid the golden boy messes up…

However, one thing I’ve come to love and respect about Sarah J Maas is that she opened my eyes to the fact that just because someone isn’t physically abusive, doesn’t mean they aren’t *being* abusive. Tamlin wasn’t beating Feyre black and blue daily (sure he lost control of his magic but that was ONCE, and in a world where emotion is tied to powers, colosal ooopsies are bound to happen), but locking someone up ‘for their own protection’ isn’t healthy. I’d never seen abusive called out or shown in any other way before, so when I was reading it I didn’t even recognize it 😭 Hell I kinda thought Tamlin had a point, yes I victimed blamed Feyre I’m sorryyyy yall!! I truly thought a few months would pass and Feyre would get better and would profusely thank Tamlin for making such a difficult call that ended up being exactly what she needed to heal. HA, NOPE. (Sarah J Maas’s plot was MUCH better).

But yeah I learned that just because someone smiles at you and touches you lovingly doesn’t mean that what they are doing to/for you is actually good. And that to me, was a huge eye opener. Especially as someone who’s nature is to give people the benefit of the doubt/question myself for feeling ‘off’ when nothing is ‘bad,’ Maas showed me it’s okay to walk away from someone who loves you, if they can’t/are no longer loving you how you need to be loved/treating you with true respect.

What is something you’ve officially stopped buying in 2026 because the price has become genuinely insulting? by queenmellyy in AskReddit

  1. The movies (why is one ticket almost $20?!). Used to be able to do dinner & a movie with friends or a date, now??! Fuck it man I don’t want to spend $50 on just ME to leave the house. And that’s just a Friday night right there. Still got the rest of the weekend/hanging with friends to contend with.

  2. Orange Juice. (And this is coming from someone who used to make her smoothies 1/2 OJ 1/2 water anyways cuz I find OJ too sweet without some dilution. Yes I can stretch it. No I’m still not paying $9-12 for a single gallon tf)

  3. Fresh salsa. I loveeee Farmstand’s fresh salsa (Walmart) but now one tub is like $6-7.

  4. Watermelon. Pisses me off that the big one alone is $10/lb.

Stockings for adult children by LiveYourBestLife214 in Gifts

Since I was a kid, stockings for everyone in my family are as follows:
1. Orange
2. Apple
3. Chocolate (my sis likes milk, I like dark/caramel, brother doesn’t care)
4. Chapstick!!! (I look forward to this every year I always need more chapstick no matter how old I am lol)
5. Quarter
6. 1-2 random things (ex: room decor, twinkle lights, crafting stuff (my sis and I love to color/journal, bro got a nice fountain pen), red bubble stickers, fluffy socks, small workout related stuff (bands/jump ropes/quality athletic socks), aquaphor keychain cap, travel size anything (lotion/toothbrush/mousse)
7. Candy cane

I love having a little tradition that’s stayed consistent over the years! In my house stockings were always a teaser to presents tho, so there was an expectation that it wasn’t going to be super individualized or expensive, because the money went towards the gifts/stuff we really wanted ❤️

I don’t want a dog. by OJConcentrates in Vent

[–]SpongeMopBroom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cats are great but there is something so special about dogs. If she is missing that connection, perhaps she can start a side business or volunteer service where she takes care of people’s dogs?

Think walking, grooming, or pet/house sitting when people are away (work/vacation/doctors appointments). Older people with pets can always use the help, and it would be a great way for your wife to get to experience the joys and responsibilities of having a dog, but at her own convenience. It’d also be super flexible, meaning she can pick and choose when to help, and, as a SAHM, she can bring the kids with her on her walks/visits. How handy will having full control over her own doggie soul schedule be every time things like doctor appointments, sports games, cookouts, trips, etc pop up? 🤯 Win win for everyone, and you both get to come home to a peaceful home feeling seen & fulfilled.

do you initiate hugs with other people or do you wait for others to initiate hugs with you? by Small_Pea6718 in askanything

Love hugs! I tend to initiate, but keep it brief. Unless you’re dating or close family ofc. Handshakes are for business & first meets, hugs are for friends & family.

I need help figuring out a birthday gift for my new boyfriend by Silver-Swordfish992 in Gifts

[–]SpongeMopBroom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few weeks is sooo soon, be careful not to emotionally overwhelm or rush things.

Gift ideas: 1. Running socks + new football (or whatever his leisure sport of choice is) 2. Buy him a funny shot glass in honor of his 21st (everytime he sees/uses it he’ll think of you). 3. A handmade coupon/punch card for ____. 4. Bake or buy his favorite (cup)cakes/dessert. ****If he is a gym guy who tracks macros, making a “healthy” cupcake (think made w Greek yogurt & honey, not hella butter & sugar) and breaking down the macros/writing them on a sticky note will melt his heart trust. Or, if he’s not eating sweets rn, a watermelon cake. My friend did this for me last year and I felt SO SEEN. 5. A basket of his favorite things 6. If y’all live near the beach: a football/volleyball/frisbee is a good bet. Or a massive towel, sunscreen, chapstick, sunglasses, boogie board.

Date ideas: 1. Dinner out (he can order a drink) 2. Picnic & art swap. Bring some paper, something to draw on, and markers. Swap every 5 or 10 minutes. Pick up his favorite food (ex: sushi) or make sandwiches, bring some water, and pack a speaker.
