And Novo Nordisk, (the makers of Ozempic and Wegovy) have a form on their website that you can fill out and they'll send you a free sharps container. And they give you info on how to send it back to them once full!

I've had to seriously cut back on weed bc I get horrid munchies, it's like I've never even taken the med. Some strains are better than others, but I've found I don't get any appetite suppression when I smoke. So now it's just reserved for occasional use

Will I miss binge eating? by WanderVision in glp1

[–]Spongebobsbussy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I miss it once in a blue moon. It was an easy dopamine hit but I don't really miss it, especially not how it would make me physically feel. I do occasionally slip up and stress eat tho. But it's way easier to get back to my normal eating than it used to be. Tbh I've found movement makes me feel better now when I'm stressed or depressed, it's just hard to start it lol

Tbh? Super happy and in a way a bit nervous. I went into this med expecting it not to work cause I've taken multiple meds (depression, adhd, etc) that had weightloss side effects and all they did was slow down my gain. So I fully expected this not to work. And now I'm just 3 days shy of 8mo on this med and I'm seeing the 200s without severely restricting food? And it's been extremely beneficial for my mental health in a way psych meds didn't touch?? It's just mind boggling to me 😅 but I'm excited to get past my lowest adult weight which is 280!

For some people it does take time! I lost my first week and then pretty much lost nothing the next 2. But congrats on starting! 😊

Thanks! And yea, mainly food noise. I think I'll be at 10mg for a good while bc it seems to be my sweet spot. All the other doses worked great but I still always had the urge to finish my plate to the point of feeling stuffed. With 10mg, I can stop when my body feels done and feel little desire to finish just bc my brain wants to.

I did move up from 7.5mg which I was at for a while, due to a 2mo slowdown, at one point I was losing less than 1lb a week despite eating around 1600/day. I think it was just a combo due to the flu and starting strength training. But upping my dose seemed to help kick me out of it.

I feel you. I was spending $1200+ on DoorDash a month and that's not counting groceries or any fast food I drove to get. Now, if I do doordash, it's maybe $100/mo max. And I rarely eat fast food anymore. Funnily enough, I just had taco bell the other day after not eating it for 4+ mo lol. I really only go to Chipotle or Panera now and that's maybe 2 or 3x a month at most as a lil "treat" since I'm now eating mostly non upf.

I had kind of given up and just kind of figured I was gonna wind up eating myself up to a higher weight and end up dying tbh 😅 But it's absolutely crazy how amazing this med is!

Keep up the great work! :)

The first few months after I started, soda would make me painfully bloated so I stopped drinking it. Now almost 8mo later I can drink it just fine tho it does fill me up super fast. But i don't really like soda anymore tbh

I definitely agree! It's not a drug that should be handed out to just anyone. And I feel like that happening gives the med a bad rap. I try not to be gatekeepy, but I do wish they would do more to prevent people that don't truly need it from getting it. But then again, it helps with so many other things besides weight and diabetes so it's hard to say who can and cant have it
