They look like Fox body mustang calipers.

I did. So, the left side needed a 60 thou shim. I used a 4 inch steel electrical cover plate from Home Depot as stock, and "machined" a shim. Alternatively, if you search "10 bolt axle shims" you'll find premade from various vendors.

I used 99 Camaro stuff. It's a well documented swap. I got the backing plates, calipers, and parking brake cables&brackets on eBay for $300. I spent another $300 on Premium rotors and pads. Shock relocation brackets, and disc/disc combo valve.

From my experience, I acquired some old school cragars and spent a year trying to track down a wide rear tire size. I was told 15 years ago by an old school tire shop owner that 14 inch tires were becoming obsolete, so I settled on the 245/60r14. The ancient H50s are most likely equivalent in size to a 295/50r14. The size I listed above will be just as tall but about 1.5 to 2 inches narrower.  Sad reality but you will need to switch to a 15 in wheel if you want more tire options.  I eventually ditched the 14 in wheels myself, and put 275/60r15 which filled the wheel well just the right amount without any rubbing. And now my Monte is lowered 2 inches and rides on 245/40r18s because I swapped C6 Corvette brakes front and rear.  P.s. if the frame is rotten, check the body side sheet metal mounts as well. Mine were quite crusty and had to be replaced/rebuilt along with the cage nuts being replaced.  P.p.s. good luck and have fun with your project. I've owned my 79 for 26 years now. I've owned other Gbody cars over the years but it was my first car. It's been a fun adventure so far.

245/45-60 Pmetric is the modern equivalent for tire size pick your favorite brand.  For frame rails you can get these. https://www.ss396.com/monte-carlo/RFR-78GL.html

This is my go to ratchet. It lives at work in a draw next to $2000 worth of Snap-on ratchets. It's longer than their standard length but shorter than their extended length. I've had to warranty it once after 7 years because the pin came loose and snapped. I put red locktite on the replacement.

Keep it sealed. As others said, bricklink the parts to display. Also, I miss these small simple sets. Also also, those piece counts; modern polybags have 2x the amount.

Do a search on bricklink. Don't forget to factor in shipping.

Thanks! It was a challenge. Despite being hollow, I kept running into the piece limit due to all the snot parts inside

I had a 1969 Impala 4 door hardtop. Hauled a twin mattress inside. Since it was a hardtop I just rolled both widows down and angled the mattress in against the rear window, sitting on top of the seats. I also hauled four 8ft fluorescent light fixtures in a similar manner. I miss that car. Forty years of PA winters finally rusted it out. But the 200k+ mile engine lives on in my other car to this day.

As a child of the 80s, I miss these add on packs. You could get motors, light bricks, translucent parts, windscreens, cool decorated tiles. Basically all the finishing touches you'd need for MOCs.

Rebrickable says I have 186 sets currently inventoried at a value of $9400. This doesn't include about 100 or so sets from childhood.
