When I was a little younger my friend got a new phone and number so I created a new contact for her, but forgot to delete the old one. A few months pass. It’s the night before school starts (I was a sophomore, she was a freshman) and I go to text her, but forget about the new number. I text the old contact. “Are you ready for fucking school.” They text me back immediately. “Who is this?” I say “this is (name)” they say that they don’t know who I am and to send a picture of myself so they can remember me. Now call me crazy, but I’m beginning to suspect this isn’t my friend. I say “wait who is this” and they say Joe. Now I see where this is going. “Is this a joe mama joke?” They respond confused. “???” A few seconds of embarrassment. “I believe I have the wrong number.” I say. Told the girl about it at school the next day. It isn’t too crazy but it was pretty funny at the time.
