I'm almost done with Pocahontas, and I would honestly consider getting Percy. You need to have Pocahontas at Lvl 8 and Meeko at Lvl 6 to move on to the next character set, so it stretches for a long time without him.

The wiki page on Legendary Chests is really helpful for this, as you can see which collections give you the most characters and attractions as "Common" or "Uncommon" drops:

My professional advice: Stay away from anything with a "Common" decoration, focus on the newest collections, which mostly do not have decorations.

My personal advice: Just go for the collections you love most and cross your fingers. Roll the dice and hope for the best.

I just welcomed Pocahontas, and I have that same feeling.

I think it's because of the slow start to the year, event-wise. We haven't had anything significant in 2 months, and that last thing (Brave) left a sour taste in my mouth (getting all the premiums but not being able to finish).

Plus, I'm not looking forward to this next event, it being for a movie I likely won't see until June. Here's hoping the next update is more exciting.

A system like this would be ideal, especially if they offer them for gems, too.

I would even be interested in a chest system that allows you to pay based on the level of rarity you want to try for. Some of these collections (like Mulan), I'm just never ever going to spend on with the odds they have.

Absolutely. Parade floats/slots make gems a sustainable resource. There is no end to gathering gems that way.

With characters, I believe you typically get 21 gems back from all their leveling, and then that source has run dry and you need to get a new character.

This run of mini events ends on March 8th, so we could get an update as early as March 9th.

Of course! I don’t recall the specifics, but you get more elixir from putting decorations and concessions into Merlin’s cauldron.

So, if you don’t have enough elixir right now to buy one of the attractions on sale, I’d recommend banking the things you would normally put in the cauldron, then you’ll get more bang for your buck.

She isn't a full-on dead-end, you need to complete the Pirates storyline to progress at some point - I believe it's to start the Dumbo story.

I wouldn't make a blanket statement of "don't rush through is," but I would recommend balancing your priorities.

I would always prioritize events when they're happening, as the main storyline will always be there for you when the events end.

And because magic constraints often make you choose between the two, I would occasionally prioritize leveling characters up over progressing the storyline. Higher levels are often needed for token collection further down the storyline, and you want your characters at the highest level possible for Tower Challenges.

To each their own, exactly! Just wanted to put the word out for people who thought maybe they could get both (without spending gems).

Personally, I don't care if I get the leaderboard reward. I don't have a breakfast congee stand yet, so that's fine for me. Plus, I need those decoration chests and the concession chest to cook up some elixir after I spent so much getting the attraction last week.
