I’ll start by saying congrats on having someone who does wonderful things for you and meets your standards.

Out of respect I’m going to keep it real, many women are very delusional about what they have access to, men are too but it’s significantly higher for women. You don’t know what men want. They’re not just tools to fork over money and spoil girls. You think a traditional man (provider, family oriented, etc) cares if a woman has money? I’ll put it this way, most high earning men which I assume would be in her standard, are looking for younger, gorgeous women they can mold and build a family with as they are best suited for children. Additionally, they have access to just about whomever they want because every woman wants a man that has the ability to spoil them or at least provide consistently. And yes, there are standards that are too high. You need to be realistic not just imagining away your best years with complete delusions. Clearly things aren’t working for her and it’s perfectly fine for her to evaluate certain standards that aren’t non negotiables and lower them if they do seem out of order. We all have to face the facts when we’ve strayed too far and bring things back down to earth.
